Jiffy Plumbing

The commode was making a strange noise so I called Jiffy Plumbing. Jimmy came out and flushed the commode. The commode didn't make the noise so I asked Jimmy to fix the downstairs commode. He replaced the fill valve in the downstairs commode. Jimmy was here for about 15 minutes and I was charged $195.00. I post dated the check for the next day. He said he would not put the check through until the next day. He went that day and cashed the check. Because of this I was charged a $37.00 overdraft fee.

Within less than an hour after calling I got another call stating plumber is on his way and should be there in 25-30 minutes. He was there in 20 minutes. This was a Saturday afternoon. He was professional, laid down plastic so as to not mess anything up and was done in an hour. Super nice guy.

Was easy enough to schedule though I didn't hear back from them for hours and I had to call and check the status of the call. They said they got backed up and I told them to just come the following day since my property manager would be onsite. They called as promised in the morning when they were en-route and arrived early. He was professional, rapidly assessed the situation and provided the quote. It was more than expected at $530 including the Angie's List discount. I didn't shop around but I would assume it was just a little above the regional average, not necessarily price gouging. He said it was tampons and plastic that clogged the drain which was very consistent as we had a houseguest the previous week which used tampons and left the wrappers in the wastebasket by the toilet. Needless to say, we'll be informing our next houseguests what does and doesn't go down the toilet!! Overall I would recommend these guys and use them again.

I had a very bad experience with Jiify. We had an emergency call on a Sunday night. They did respond that night and came to our home. Over the next week or two they were supposed to be here at our home, but they didnt show up a couple times. Then they would be scheduled to come in the morning and they wouldnt show up until the after noon. Also i would try to call them and their voicemail was full so I couldnt even reach them. Also Jiffy Plumbing told me that they had spoke to my insurance company and they had approved for him to do certain services, but he actually never did speak to them. Initially I never received a written estimate from them, even though I had asked several times. My insurance company actually told me to tell Jiffy to not do any more work until they could get more pricing information. He also took 2 of our toilets out for no reason at all, but I had to pay out of my pocket to have them replaced. My insurance company had to end up negotiating the amount they would pay because of all the overage charges from Jiffy.

This whole ordeal lasted about 2 months, until I could get a professional company to my home to complete the work properly.

Was there when he said he would be and repaired what I had done. Arrived 3.5 hrs aft I called. The bill was for an hour of labor and new parts. The work looked good and performed as well. I would use again for small jobs.

He didn’t even have a professional bill; he just had something you would buy at Staples as a bill.  He came right away, I have to say that.  I would never use him again.
