They are always careful and thorough. I've heard people say they don't see fireflies any more in their yards because the chemicals kill them. I have them and was enjoying their winking lights this very evening. Hats off to Good Nature. I'm not giving a price, though, because you can choose how many applications and of what that you want -- fertilizer, weed suppressors, liquid aeration, etc. So what I pay may not be what someone else choose to pay. They're happy to give a quote.

Adam left detailed notes about the liquid aeration that helps loosen soil and decompose thatch, promoting healthy root growth as well as better drainage! He was professional and thorough (I watched from window) and my highly reactive puppy didn’t even bark...no loud noise like other companies used by neighbors! I like suggestions offered as well! At this time of year the seed may sprout and then be killed when we get a frost. It is not a good time of the year to seed and we wouldn't want you to waste your money. We'd be happy to do some overseeding later next season in August or September when it is the ideal time to seed. We'd be happy to meet with you, look at your lawn and develop a gameplan. Great service and great price. Very responsive and friendly, and was accommodating to special requests. Was professional and asked to have the yard checked for underground lines prior to them coming out. Quick to get scheduled too. Helped answer my questions between their different aeration services. They gave me information about natural lawn treatments. They are very knowledgeable and no high pressure sales. They always text me before they come out to let me know they are coming. I was a little skeptical of how the organic treatments would work. Within 2 days I could see that the application was effective. This spring the backyard looks very nice. I will continue to use them and recommend their service.

After a few months, the color and quality of my lawn seriously degraded. I complained, they redid an application. I complained again, and they offered to do an application again but I declined. I told them that the lawn was no longer the nice, deep green that it was. I was told that it's hard to get the nitrogen levels high enough to turn the grass a deep green using all natural fertilizer. I was dumbfounded - this reasoning flew in the face of their marketing materials. I asked for, and received the money back for the remainder of the year. I went to Home Depot and purchased some good ol' Scotts Fertilizer, applied it to my lawn, and my lawn turned a deep green in a matter of weeks.

"[Member Name Removed], I'm sorry that your lawn didn't look the way you wanted it to after our first 2 visits of the season. You're correct that chemical fertilizers will give a quicker green appearance. This is because they are quickly available to the grass plants. What doesn't get used right away by the plant could be susceptible to leaching, or runoff. Our fertilizers need to be digested by the soil and converted into nutrients that the grass can use. This process takes more time but results in a healthy soil and a lawn that is more naturally resistant to weeds, insects, and diseases and ultimately does not need all the pesticides to protect it. If you want to avoid the regular lawn chemicals that you're used to getting, I'd recommend that we do a soil test and start balancing the soil. In addition, you would need to be a little patient with the process, our approach won't be a miracle in just 2 visits. If you really want that chemical green that you're used to, and don't want to spend the time to get the soil healthy, our approach probably isn't for you. I'm sorry that we couldn't make something work, but do appreciate you giving us a try. Please don't hesitate to reach out if there is anything I can do. Matt Cellura 614-806-4044."

Staff is professional and courteous. They call me the day before they come out to let me know they are coming. And they take notes on what I can do to improve my lawn. There are no high-pressure sales, and they will often tell me that a service is not needed, even if it would generate a sale for them. I believe that they are looking out for my best interests and they value a long term relationship versus making a quick buck.

We had had a different lawn service last year, and while they weren't bad we weren't sure exactly how organic it was. So this year, we decided to go with Good Nature. We've been very pleased. They keep us well informed and it's nice not having the "Avoid this lawn" flag. We even ended up getting the lawn "slice seeded" which has filled in where the tree was removed. It seems to be crowding out the weeds and for once we're getting compliments on the lawn. While it's a little more expensive, we feel it is worth it!

Their fertilizer only grew weeds. My yard was a mess!! When I called to complain, no one offered to actually come out and look at my yard. It is going to be a long time restoring grass to my backyard. It is almost completely weeds.

The company does note that their product does not kill weeds however their product does nothing to prevent future weeds either. I have never had more dandelions, crab grass or clover in my yard in the last 13 years. The technician leaves you a failing grade on the report card only to suggest you sign up for more of their product. They also state you are mowing to low when in fact the mower is on the highest setting possible. I will not use this service again. I spent three times the amount of money to have the service done than fertilizing the lawn myself...save your money and do the lawn yourself with traditional fertilizer.

Mowing high is one of the key and FREE things you can do to help prevent weeds. Perhaps your mower could use an adjustment beyond the normal raising if you have it at the highest level and we think it is too short (we'd be happy to look at it for you). Would love to help you have a nice lawn without all the chemicals and if you'd like help with that please respond to our messages and I'm sure we can work something out. If not, we understand and are sorry that we couldn't make you happy with your lawn in the short time you've been a client. Results are not quite as effective as conventional chemicals, but is still very good and I'm not causing environmental damage from using chemicals that harm birds and other wildlife and run off into the water supply. My lawn is attractive and healthy without the harmful side effects of conventional lawn chemicals.
