FAIRWAY FLOORS

Contractor and his partner showed up on time the first two weeks. After contractual payments were made down to final payment being held until job completion, contractor began failing to show up. Job timeframe for completion was 4 - 6 weeks. After 3 months the job was less than 50% complete, quality was extremely poor, and contractor was never there. We were billed for work that was never performed. After repeated failed attempts to get contractor to our property with all job receipts in hand, we had to file a lawsuit. We hired an expert witness to review damages left by Mr. Siders and hired a new contractor to repair damages and finish job. Per expert witness and new contractor, many things done by Fairway Floors/Mr Siders were not done to code. Fairway Floors failed to connect our plumbing lines, we had to have a new roofer come to house on 3 different occassions to repair leaks caused by this contracted work. We have water damage to our drywall that still needs to be repaired. We ended up paying the new (good) contractor, more than we had paid Mr Siders, in order to have the job done correctly.

Fairway Floors performed Extremely poor quality work, extremely poor job site attendance, and lawyer fees now added into the mix. In addition, this contractor actually tried to get me to pay him $3000 more for him to come out and finish the job after he tore out my bathroom. During the course of research for the legal case, my legal team was unable to locate a license for this service provider in the state of Ohio, though he is advertising that he is licensed.

BUYER BEWARE!

The work was ok, but he wasn't timely. What I didn't like about it was that he laid down a sub floor on top of floor that was already there. I think that was just a fast way to do it.

They were prompt, they did a very good job. Often the biggest problem is that you call someone and they don't come when they say they will. This company did everything in a timely fashion and the price was very good and I also received a discount because I was an Angie's List member.

Installers were on time, courteous and did professional work. Quotation process was fast. The work completed met quoted price. Installers communicated any potential problems promptly to allow me to make decisions on how to solve the problem. I plan to use this company again on the rest of our house.

I got estimates from several vendors and they're pricing was among the best. They were very understanding when I had to delay installation for a few weeks. On install day, they removed all the baseboards, helped me move my fridge, put in the new floor and even replaced a couple of my older damaged baseboards for no charge. Afterward, they helped me move all my appliances back and cleaned up any mess they had made (which wasn't much). Overall, nice guys and quality, reasonably priced work. I'd recommend them to anyone looking for new flooring.
