I called them because Jacks Plumbing didn't shut a door to the outside access point correctly causing our pipes to freeze. I told them we wanted the pipes thawed and to make sure that whatever was needed to cause them to not freeze again needed to be done. When they got there I told them what I thought caused it. I also told him I wanted pricing before he started anything. 1st clue to kick them out was that when a pipe broke they immediately started fixing it before I could even say anything. Rather than having the water turned off and telling me what needed to be done. They fixed the couple of pipes that broke while they were there and basically taped insulation across the back of the area. After going to get the supplies it took them maybe 20 minutes to complete. When he told me it was going to be $450 I was shocked but wanted desperately for it to be fixed and not to happen again. I checked with my husband and said even though that seems high if that it what it takes to make sure this doesn't happen again then ok. Before he left, I said so if the pipes freeze again you guys will be out here to fix it because you said it won't happen again? correct? He said yes. Then I made sure it would be without charge which he reassured me it would be free. Hours after they left the pipes froze again. I text him then we spoke on the phone. He said he would have a guy unthaw them and I said that is great but I mean the whole point was for this not to happen again, that is why I paid $450. I said so what will he be doing to make sure that is going to happen. He said of course he would identify why it happened again and would address it. Then when I checked on ETA an hour later he text and asked what was I expecting because they weren't going to fix anything they hadn't already done. I was dumbfounded. He went on to text very unprofessional texts trying to manipulate the conversation to mitigate any responsibility. Needless to say all of our pipes broke and spent another $310 to have them fixed from someone who actually did what he was supposed to do and spent 2.5 hours rather than 20 minutes and charged $140 less. Don't ever hire Encee corp!
