We needed to stop recurring water pipe freezing issues in an above ceiling installation. They did a very professional evaluation and installation of frost proofing and insulating the area. Very neat and prompt.

They did an outstanding work. I would highly recommend that company. It went on for about six weeks, which is what we expected. There is a lot of other craftsmen and lot of stuff involved here that we had to coordinate.

Brett was very easy to talk with and helped us through the process of construction.   He kept the numerous contractors on track to keep the project moving forward.  We sometimes had as many as 3 different contractors in on the same day.  When something didn't look just right, he made sure it was fixed.  When the siding on the new addition didn't quite match, he had the entire side of the house done.   We installed a heated tile floor in the master bath, marble shower with zero entry, soaking tub and counter height granite vanities plus a second closet in the bedroom.
Brett, Brad and Wayne were great to have working on our additions.  They take pride in their work.   They were professional, friendly, and respected our comfort during the entire construction process.

The railroad station was built in the 1880s and is on the National Historic Register.  It was also in a flood plain. As a consequence of age and proximity to the ground, most of the floor joists, the central support beam, and  the peripheral beams were rotten.  The bottoms of the siding were rotten.   The brick foundation had fallen in.  The floors were sagging from the rotten joists.  FEMA flood regulations required the building to be elevated 2 feet above the 100 year flood.  We went for 2.5 feet, which was 3 feet above the ground.  Dingey Movers, from Zanesville, elevated the building, cleaned out the old foundation, built a new foundation, and set the building down 3 feet higher.   Dingey Movers also did a fantastic  job.  Interspersed in this process, Gibralter replaced the rotten framing so the building could be successfully lifted, then removed the siding after the building was set down so that further framing repairs could be accomplished.  The electrical system was replaced, insulation was added, new siding was installed.  Two ADA bathrooms were added with all new plumbing throughout the building.  The HVAC system was reconfigured when the 1970s dropped ceiling was removed to restore the original ceiling.  The building was painted inside and out.  Holes in the floor were matched so they look just like they were original.  New lighting was installed.  Because of the elevation, an ADA ramp was required, as well as a deck.  Grading around the building was accomplished.  Gibralter coordinated with all the sub contractors on the plumbing, electrical, grading, brickwork, etc.  The brick waiting platform was restored by Chris Wilde with new sections of brick paving added around one end of the building and the ramp.
    All work was done as estimated except where unforeseen circumstances occurred, which you have to expect in an old building.  Old doors were discovered inside the walls, so plans were altered to display the doors, for example.
     All work was done with great attention to detail and with foresight as to the future use of the building.  Gibralter was easy to work with, accommodating, and very trustworthy as well as having highly competent employees who took great care in their work.  It was a very rewarding experience to work with Gibralter Custom Builders.  They did a fantastic job!!
