I bought a big deal for this. It was alright. I ended up paying another $50 or $70. I had a lot of trouble getting hold of them. They did do it pretty quickly, but they were very difficult to get hold of. They put some carpet protectant and stain protectant on my carpet, but it was alright. It was not the most amazing service. I really had to chase to find them. Their punctuality was fine; there was no problem. Once they came out they came on time. There were a lot of stains that were still there. It did not show it when it was wet, it definitely showed when it was dry so I just don't think it was that effective.
From what I understand, there was no attempt to upsell: at one point a technician even recommended a commercial product that they didn't themselves sell as a treatment for pet stains. They also gave my friend advice about carpet cleaning products NOT to use. Finally, they left a small bottle of upholstery/carpet cleaner as a gift.
From everything I heard, and from the results I saw, I would recommend them.
They were polite and careful not to bump into furniture and left the carpets in perfect, clean condition. They also provided a free bottle of special stain remover.
