+ -1 moreOverall, the job went well. He was prompt in showing up to provide an estimate and was able to discount his quote to match up with other quotes we received. As we moved forward, he provided several samples of stain on cedar to help ensure that we got the color we wanted. It took several weeks for the weather to cooperate - he was finally able to stain the fence in mid-July. He used 2 people for the job - one to provide protection on the other side of the fence so the spray wouldn't get on our neighbors property. The job took about 5 hours to complete. He did a great job - it looks just the way we wanted it to look. The only disappointment was that he under estimated the amount of stain that was needed by 50%. Consequently, the job cost ~$150 more than the estimate. I would definitely use him again for painting, staining or renovation work. However, I would try to nail the price down firmer to avoid cost overruns.
