Host-Whitman's Carpet Dry Cleaners

They're A's on everything. They are polite. I've been happy with their service. Their price varies from time to time depending on how much I have them do.

The Host dry cleaning method is excellent. Dries quickly, leaves no residue, and helps to pull up the knap of the rugs so they look more like new. The Whitman's are a family operation with the father, son and grandson doing the cleaning. They have pride in their operation and are totally reliable.

A neighbor mentioned this firm to me and I contacted Host Whitman for an estimate to clean my 8-year old carpet and rugs. They said they do this the following week for this and could clean then if I so desired. What I liked was that, to minimize my cost, they clean only the heavily trafficked areas (more if I'd like). When the team arrived, father, son and grandson, they measured each area and the oriental rugs and gave me a price. I jumped at it because it was less than what someone else had previously quoted for the three oriental rugs alone plus it would not require removal of them.
Although I had been given a description of how the dry cleaning worked, they demonstrated it on a small area so I could see exactly how the cleaning was done. It was immediately apparent that that area was cleaner.. As the cleaning progressed, my off white carpet looked better and better--spots were gone, the dark, dingy areas where carpet met the linoleum in the kitchen and back hall are gone -hurrah! My carpet and rugs looks brand new - so much for having considered replacing the carpet with wood flooring . The cleaning time took 2 hours. They moved furniture as needed with no extra charge. They were very respectful, congenial, neat and professional. With only minimal moisture used for the cleaning, the carpet and rugs were dry within 2 hours and a light, soft citrus scent from the sprtizing solution remains. There are no demarcations evident between the cleaned heavily trafficked areas and the rest of the carpet.

Very well, always does except where I had spot or soiled areas from dog. Can't use dry cleaning method on those, they don't come out. This method is good for carpet, allergies and smell great.

They are very professional. They explain what they are doing. They use a corncob drycleaning method, so the carpet isn't saturated. The way they charge is by the floor space that they actually clean, so the rate discludes where furniture is standing. They've been able to remove pet stains, as well.
