Carter's Plumbling

It was good.

I went home at lunch to let them in & had to return to work.  I specifically asked how long it would take to do the job & both men said less than 2 hours.  When I got my bill, they had charged me for 2 men, 4 hours!  I paid for 2 hours as quoted & left the remaining $140 un-paid.  I called them to discuss the bill right away & they didn't seem to care.  



They continued to bill me for the difference.  In the meantime, I was having trouble with my dishwasher & finally called Fridgedaire to set up a service call.  Come to find out, the installation Carter's did was not done correctly.  The little do-hicky that covers the electric wires under the dishwasher were not fastened together properly.  The electricity was arcing.  I was informed that this could've burnt my house down!  



I made sure that the service order stated the problem & took a copy into Carter's to let them know what they did.  She made a copy of the service order, put it in my file, and is still billing me for the $140 balance (+$20 in late fees).  



I say, "What nerve you have to continue to bill me after all of this!"  



After being a Carter's customer for over 15 years....I now use Don Plants Plumbing.

Two gentlemen arrived at the agreed up time, with proper equipment in hand.  They solved the first problem and analyzed and attempted correction of the second problem resulting in recommending a septic tank cleaner.

Not so well. Carter tore open the under pinning in the crawl space looking for a leak but found it was condensation from the air conditioner causing a great deal of water collecting in several areas under the house.  We had to call them 3 or 4 times just to get them to come and take a look at the problem. Apparently, Carter Plumbing does not like working on manufactured homes and told us so after they came out, tore open a great deal of the underpinning and walked away saying it was not a plumbing issue.  They in so much told us people who live in manufactured homes are not worthy and they do not like working on any of these homes. Well, now, talk about being discriminated against. We have a lovely home, well maintained in a beautiful location. We are retired professionals and can not believe this kind of attitude.  We finally called Bennetts Heating and Cooling who fixed the problem, they were courteous, professional and did excellent work.

showed up on time, did the work with a minimum of disruption, cleaned up afterwards.    Pleasant, courteous workers.  Used them in the past and will do so in the future, if needed.  Their work is excellent.

We always have used them.  When we built a house, the local people referred them to us.  They actually did all the plumbing in the house we built.
