ALTA Design Build

From the start Matt was very friendly and made an effort to get to know our family.  Through that interaction, I felt that Matt was working on a basement plan to truly meet our needs.  He wasn't just checking off a list; instead he listened to our goals for the space and crafted a design that met our needs while staying in budget.

During the pre-construction process, Matt updated the plans several times per our request and was accommodating to our requests & changes.  Additionally, Matt was able to provide suggestions and ideas for the layout and finishes that ultimately led to a better finished product.  He was able to combine our requests and his expertise into a quality finished product.

Throughout the process, Matt was open to new ideas and suggestions and worked to incorporate them into the basement as the budget dictated.  He was accessible via email, texting, and phone calls to provide updates and take any questions. 

Also, while working on the basement, we ran into plumbing issues unrelated to the project.  Matt coordinated with plumbers and other sub contractors to fix our issues at a reasonable price -- went above and beyond the original scope!

Most importantly, the finished product exceeded our expectations.  It is very professional looking and provides us a warm, comfortable place to spend time as a family.  The project came in at the exact quoted price and was completed on time.

If needed, I will definitely use Matt and Alta design for future projects.

From what I understand, Matt has been in the remodeling business for over a decade, but has just recently started his own business. 

He was at our beck and call every step of the way, walking us through design choices, giving us structural advice on our layout, etc.  He was able to offer valuable insight for the remodeling we needed done that we never thought of.  He provided us with designers to help us with our design decisions. 

Throughout the process, he payed attention to every detail, correcting little flaws from his workers that even we didn't catch. 

Although he may be a tad bit more expensive than if you hired your buddy to do the work, he takes care of making sure everything goes smoothly, all the working parts fit, and in the end, the whole process causes you a lot less stress because you don't have to check up on the work.  The small amount extra is more than worth it in the end.
