My experience with Advanced Renovations was excellent from the start of my project all the way through to the end of my project. Dave and team provided a high level of custom craftsmanship and our project was completed ahead of schedule. I appreciate the team's time spent listening to all of our needs and delivering on our expectations. Advanced Renovations turned our basement into a cozy sanctuary where my family and I can spend quality time together. Dave and his crew did an excellent job of leveling our wooden deck. It had started to sag and he made it level again. Dave has done several projects for us and we have been satisfied each time. We will be calling him for our next project whenever that may be. We recommend them and know you will be satisfied. They do top quality work.

I was very impressed with the quality of the workmanship. Brian and Dave completed the work with care, pausing to ask me about the selection and arrangement of the individual tiles (which had a variable pattern). They were very thorough, cleaned up everything after the work, and completed most of the work in one day. Dave even repaired a closet door in the entrance which had broken loose, at no charge. There was one minor accident where drywall was punched through by the front door handle when the door stop was taken off. However, Dave repaired the drywall, bought matching paint, and repainted so it it is no longer noticeable. Overall, the work was completed very professionally and I am very pleased with the outcome. I would definitely use again.

Super job! Dave arrived on time each day. His workmanship was meticulous. Everything was cleaned up at the end of each day. I worked from my home office while Dave was doing the projects and hardly knew he was there. I love my new backsplash and under cabinet lighting, and the baths look great. Very happy customer here!

They did a very good job. There was an additional charge for the service because the square footage of the bathroom was larger than whatever was on the advertisement. I spent another $300 or $400 more than what we paid the big deal for. They took out the old floor, took all the debris away and put in a new subfloor. They purchased, picked up and then installed the tiles and the grout in the bathroom. They had to pick the toilet up and reinstall that as well. The bathroom is narrow but long. It is one of those things that is kind of difficult to measure. This was the first time that we had ever used them. They came, completed the job in one day and cleaned everything up. I was pleased with their service. Construction is always messy and there was a little bit of dust around but they certainly vacuumed and cleaned everything that they could see. I would use them again in the future. In fact, I kept their name.

It went okay. I believe the deal was for 40 square feet floor and I think mine was 46 but they also had some problems with some flooring that needed to do some additional work that wasn't covered and I guess more or less fine print in this thing, it didn't include the removal and re-installation of the toilet and some other stuff so it ended up costing over double the Big Deal. It feels a bit like deceptive advertising although I understand that they can't just guarantee that regardless of the size of your bathroom it's going to be $389 but I don't know why they wouldn't just always include the cost of pulling out the toilet and the things that would normally happen so it ended up being a lot more expensive than I expected. The installers were very nice and polite, they did a pretty good job of cleaning up. I only had one concern which was that when they brought in their equipments, tools and supplies, they didn't lay down a tarp which I guess would be typically common and I asked them about it and they said not to worry, and then the owner came in during the day, I pointed out to him too and after they left, the next day I noticed like a 3-inch scratch on my wood flooring so I didn't feel like they actually prepared or prepped out, covered it so I did work out a discount a little bit for that with the owner and he said that they always cover it so he didn't know what happened. Some of the stuff, it has nothing to do with them, it's hard to take out the doors and put them back in and not get little scratches on them and things like that. I don't want to really hold that against them but that kind of stuff happens so I end up not only with costing more than what I expected originally, I have some work to do afterwards with repainting and stuff like which again is probably common but I don't do this very often so I didn't include it all in my budget.

The day after I signed up I received a call from Dave from Advance Renovations, Inc. He took all my information and we scheduled the time for him to come over and evaluate my situation. I wanted more to be completed than was in the ad. He said he would write up an estimate and email it to me. I received it the next day. During the time between the estimation and the installation I was hospitalized for a couple of days and then was at home. I then spoke to Dave that I wasn't going to be able to go to select the ceramic tile I wanted. I told him exactly what I wanted and how would he feel about picking it out. He said he would be happy to do so. WHAT A WINNER HE IS!!!! The ceramic tile was even better than I'd hoped!!! It was perfect!!!!! I love it!! Do you get my point? They installed exactly it on the agreed upon day and finished much sooner that I expected. It is BEAUTIFUL!!! The extras were completed to my satisfaction too. My condo bathroom was cleaned beautifully and it was great to come home after a long day at work and see my new bathroom!

Hired painter twice. First in June 2001. Company was short on painters so they hired one from a manpower agency. Did not check his criminal background. This temporary painter broke into our house while he was supposed to be painting the outside of our house. Supervisor left him unattended. Our daughter was in our house by herself. She called police. Police arrived and arrested him in our backyard. Was sent to prison. Hired painter again in June 2009 for interior painting. Painted living room wrong color. Painter corrected all errors, gave us discount on work so no further problems. Does good work and is honest. Asked him for estimate on outside work, gave us estimate, told him to do the work, never heard from him again.

"We did do an exterior paint job for the customers back in 2002. At the time business was expanding very quickly and we were shorthanded so I decided to hire an extra painter. After not getting an good candidates through the paper we hired a part time painter through a temp agency. They claimed that all of there workers were drug tested and had a clean criminal background. Apparently the worker they gave us must have fallen on hard times or slid through their system. When we were working on their exterior paint job my supervisor on site had to run and get materials to finish the job. The temp worker decided to go into the house and he was caught and arrested. I was mortified when this happened. I never even imagined someone would try to do something so stupid. I guess at that time I was sheltered from ever having to deal with that type of activity. I apologized to the homeowners and everything turned out ok. Ultimately Im not sure why the customer wanted to bring this up 11 years after the fact but thats their decision. After all of that I changed my processes and made sure if there was a new worker that he was always accompanied by one of my existing workers. All background checks are done by me personally as another way to ensure this doesnt happen again. In regards to the other painting issues the customers have stated we did do interior work for them. I believe It was them who mixed up and gave us the wrong color for the living room but none the less we redid it for them anyway and gave them a discount on top of that. As far as them saying we were unresponsive thats not the case. I did give them an exterior estimate for some work and he said he wanted to do it. I emailed him and said to send me the signed contract with a deposit check. I never heard back from him. I do 15-20 estimates a week but no job gets on the schedule until we have the signed contract and deposit check. If he would have contacted me again we would have happily come out and completed the project. In the end Im sorry that the customers were not completely happy with our service but I wish them nothing but the best. This is the first project we have done that we have no regrets with. Advanced Renovations was able to get started quickly on the job. They staffed it consistently and moved rapidly through the project. The workers were excellent. They were craftsmen who took pride in what they did and they were great to work with. They had great ideas and they did not hesitate to change anything that did not please us completely. They were amazingly neat and clean. They had a lock box on the front door and came and went as they needed without anyone home. This freedom for workers is not something we would normally do, but we have never had workers as trustworthy as these. There were subs used for certain trades. These subs were well managed and also performed to the same high level. The project proceeded quickly and did not get stalled waiting for someone to get their work done so the next trade could start. The job was well orchestrated and completed faster than anyone else we spoke to thought they could do. I would use them again for anything and would highly recommend them to anyone.
