The Home Palette

I hired This company to paint 2 bedrooms.  There are paint dripping in my woodwork.  I hired him to stain and sand my deck.  He never sanded the deck like he said and there is no stain between the wood. All you can see are drips.

On Oct 24, 2013 Dave began to install my baffles.  Once he had most of them installed he came in my home to tell me the cost was going up. He should have discussed this with me prior to beginning work.  When we canceled this job on the 24th he said ok what a bummer.  When I asked for my money back, he would not take my calls or answer any text.  I left him many texts and calls asking to work this out.  He text me and told me he was going to send me a refund and invoice as well as a receipt for the materials I have in my garage ( which is the vinyl for my soffits) and I could return them myself.  Really I can return the materials, now this is real professionalism. When I received my check it was for 900.00 and his invoice was well lets say beyond words.
1. Install Baffles to accommodate new and existing  vents                    $400.00
2. Logistics: 7 hrs  @ 37.00 per hr                                                         $259.00
3 Total trip charges @ 50 ea. x 3                                                           $150.00
4. 10% opp. loss cost (of 3,100 only)                                                     $310.00
Total bill                                                                                                $1,119.00
Really, I canceled within my 3 days, he charged me  50.00  to come an get my check for 2500.00 and I have no idea what logistics is.  He was not here 7 hours for any thing. Also charging me gas to pick up my check and do a job, This should be included in his quote.
So I hope you can see from my invoice, as well as having to take back materials that were not even 500.00 that he bought for my job, not only is he way overpriced,  truly an unprofessional in every sense of the word.  His trade is painting.  So please please do not use this Man  Dave Gonzales of his company The Home Palette based out of Gahanna, OH.  His face book page is Home
