We contacted Precision Door Service for a garage door tune-up. At first the company was very responsive and sent a technician the next day. After inspection, the technician gave several maintenance options ranging from expensive to more expensive and "offered" (pressured) to do the work right on the spot. We chose the cheapest option ($868.95) which included replacing two extension springs, a safety cable, and a couple of pulleys and rollers. We have since learned that this cost is 2-4 times more than what we should have paid. We contacted the technician about the extreme price difference and did not receive a response. Don't be dumb like us. Always get a second quote and sleep on it!

I called them on Monday morning and they had someone out the next day to look over the garage and provide a quote. Once accepted they scheduled the repair/replacement for Thursday morning. The installer arrived on time and began work right away. The work was completed in 4 hours and everything cleaned up.

Instead of rebalancing door or repairing it they replaced parts. They do a 25 point assessment but only give your report after service is complete. They put you in a tough spot with large estimates or no work but a $80 service call. Based on this approach, I would not recommend.

It was great from the estimate thru the install. Kevin O'Hara was the technician that did both. He was on time for both and very professional. They were not the cheapest estimate I received but they had a No high pressure sale, which I really liked and with one of the other companies that gave me an estimate that is what they did. Kevin let his knowledge and professionalism do the convincing for him. Which I really appreciated. He made sure everything was cleaned up afterwards and he took all the old stuff with him which was another big plus. I even forgot about getting a sliding lock on the door when he installed and when I called the company about it, he came right back out. I would recommend him to anyone that needs a garage door replacement.

Flawless. My parents have used Precision Door and have always spoken very highly of them. Late Friday night our garage door would not remain closed and the opener started smoking. We got it closed and disconnected it. I called Precision on Saturday morning around 9 am. Originally they said they could get out between noon-2 (which I was thrilled since it was a Saturday & very short notice on our part) but would call when they were on the way. Shortly after talking to them, they called back and said one of their technicians had finished up a job and could be here within the hour if that worked for us. John arrived and was able to replace our garage door opener. He also offered to install a key pad which we were happy about. He explained how everything worked and was extremely knowledgeable. In addition to the great install, I doubt you could find a nicer guy. I would absolutely hire Precision Door again and have already recommended them to a neighbor. Thank you John & Precision Door!

The quality of the product was excellent and the initial response was exceptionally prompt. I never felt pressured and questions were answered. I didn't get an invoice until I insisted on one before payment. They insisted on payment immediately upon finishing the job. I requested that the door be installed when I was home and we agreed on a time however they came early and completed the job before I could get home. The biggest problem was afterwards when I had a simple question and nobody would return my calls even after five attempts. The technician had given me his card however he never answered the phone and his voice mail was full so the card was useless. Afterwards I found that the door could not be secured with the latch because it was aligned incorrectly.

They installed a garage door for us in 2013. We have had no problems. It is very solid. They also offer a decent lifetime warranty in case anything does go wrong. I would highly recommend them!

After he left, I was unable to program my car to operate the new opener. I finally learned that the newer technology wasn't compatible with my car without another device that plugs into an outlet to translate the signal. I called the company again and the owner called back within minutes. He personally brought the gadget and now everything works great. Sometimes you don't really know how good a company's service is unless there is a hiccup. I would highly recommend this company. I found them initially when I needed service on a weekend and they advertised 24 hour service calls at no extra charge.

Seemed to go fine until the end, we purchased a new door opener and new door. The button inside the garage to open and shut the door never worked correctly. After several tries it still does not work correctly. We mounted one of the car openers inside so we could make the door work. As for hiring them again we would if a spring breaks as they are warranted.

I quickly discovered that most garage door repair businesses close at 5PM and those I initially called were estimating that the earliest they could repair the door would be Friday - 2 days later. That meant I would have to try to rearrange my schedule for both days as I would be without use of my car.
Precision's website stated that they provide 4 hour emergency service if contacted before 6PM. I was initially hesitant to call them as they were substantially further away than those I had already tried. I got voice mail and did not leave a message as I had already left messages at two other businesses. Despite not leaving a message, I received a call back a few minutes later. I explained my problem and was told that it would be a couple of hours but they could come. (FWIW, I never did get call backs from the businesses where I did leave a message.) John arrived in well under two hours, was friendly and courteous, explained what had happened to cause the problem, what to do to prevent future problems, and repaired the door. Considering that this was emergency evening service I felt the charge to be very reasonable. I would certainly use Precision again.
