Journey Investments

Working with Mr. Sarver and his company "Journey Investments"was a nightmare that continues on. We contracted with this company to paint specified rooms in our home and to fix a crack in the drywall at the ceiling. The contract included fixing the crack as well as  the application of 2 coats of paint if 2 coats were needed.There was 1 year warranty on labor. We had to supply the paint ourselves so the quoted price was just for the labor. When they had completed the 1 coat, by terms of the contract, we had to make the final payment. I did not notice at the time that they had not fixed the crack.  Several days later it became apparent that the 1 coat had not sufficiently covered and that the crack had not been fixed. We had hired an interior decorator in the middle of the paint job and when she saw the work they had done, she emphatically said that they needed to return and apply a second coat. There were roller marks everywhere, thin areas where the old paint showed through, making our walls look like it had "chicken pox". A Sherwin Williams representative also looked at the job . The representative told us it was an incomplete paint job and needed an additional coat of paint to cover.. We contacted Journey Investments  to come back and apply a second coat and to fix the crack. We could never get them to come back and they told us if they fixed the crack they would have to paint our ceilings as well. We could never get them to honor the warranty. We eventually had to take them to small claims court where we won our case but. to date we have never been able to collect on the court judgment. We would never use them for anything again and at our HOA meetings several of our neighbors have reported similar and worse experiences when they also used this same company.
