Good experience. The basement window was covered with plastic so I needed fast service. Buckeye was out in a day. The next week he replaced a 50 year old garage window with glass block. We had not opened it in 25 years so it all made sense. There is only one Buckeye glass in the dayton area. Angie's list has one in Xenia and Franklin but it is really just the one in Middletown.

Buckeye's price was considerably less than any other estimate I received. In addition, the concrete around the old windows was in unusually bad condition. All other vendors indicated that they would likely charge additional money to patch it. Buckeye did the work at no extra charge. I'm normally a DIYer, but I doubt I could have done the work myself for that price. The installer was extremely friendly and well-mannered. He discovered an ant nest under one of the old windows and helped to "dispose" of them. Didn't get rid of the ant problem permanently (he's not an exterminator after all), but I still consider what he did above and beyond. He also found a newspaper from 1938 that was used to plug a hole between the old frame and foundation. Rather than just throw it away, he saved it for us. Something like that might be trivial to some people, but it could help us date our old house. Overall, the windows look very good. Some of the blocks are slightly out of alignment with each other, but it's not really noticeable unless you are looking for it. I suspect a more expensive job might look a little better, but for the price and service I received, I am extremely pleased with the results. A quality, professional job was done. Buckeye has already been recommended to our neighbors.

They were amazing! My 2 homes were built in 1925 and 1928, and had the original, rotting wood basement windows. The company did the tear out, installed the new windows to fit perfectly, and cleaned up thoroughly. They were the most reasonable of the many quotes I received, and did not add on a trip charge between the 2 properties (which most companies do, even with the properties less than 1 mile apart). Nice, professional staff. And the windows are wonderful. Energy savings, plus add so much light to the 2 basements. Highly recommend!
