This contractor was hired to replace a septic system by the seller of my house. He was going to start work on the system without pulling the permit first, he by his own admission has been doing this type of work for 30 years but somehow forgot to pull a required permit before starting the work. When I arrived at my house to meet them for the first time he acted like I wasn't there and was reluctant and unhappy to talk with me. Then later he also acted like he had no idea that the state health department had set a deadline for completion of the project despite having personally talked with the inspector. In the process of putting in the tank he tore apart my fence and broke most of the stone sidewalk behind my house. He seems like the type of contractor who forgets who he is working for, he views the homeowner as a nuisance, he is not thorough, not professional, and not for you.
