My car started blowing fuses and after a lot of troubleshooting on my part I was forced to take it to a garage. I took it elsewhere and after 1.5 hours of troubleshooting they said that they weren't able to find the problem so I took it to this shop and they had located and repaired the problem in less than an hour.

I had received word from a co-worker that AES did a good job for them on a number of occasions at a reasonable price, so I decided to try them out. I had first taken my car to a local dealership that quoted me $92.00/hr. for labor -- a bit steep IMO. I was glad when AES quoted me $70.00/hr. It wasn't the lowest price I ever paid for labor, but since they are a smaller shop and came with a recommendation I could manage. I had a number of items taken care of on this visit. The primary one was the timing chain cover that was leaking anti-freeze, and the shop owner explained why this cover would need replaced. I also had new coolant put in, which I knew would be a necessity as part of the timing chain cover replacement, and the car was due for a coolant change anyway. The water pump was original, and needed replaced, so I had this taken care of. The mechanic also noticed that there was a bit of looseness in the timing chain itself, and considering that it was an original part and VERY important I had this replaced as well. I was happy that he didn't charge me another hour of labor for this since the chain would only take about 10 minutes to replace. I also had the oil and oil filter replaced. They were able to purchase AMSOIL from a local store and this was a nice bonus, since AMSOIL is hard to find in some towns. Finally, the oil pan gasket was torn as part of the work on the timing chain cover. I could understand this happening since the gasket was also original. Overall I was very satisfied with the work done by AES. It may sound from my review like they found a lot of stuff, and that $1,000 for all this is a lot, but considering I have 138,000 miles on the car all the work they did needed to be done. I grew up around cars and have a good deal of knowledge about car maintenance, so I can speak from experience. For instance, they could have let the loose timing chain go and then I would have paid again for labor when it broke, at least another couple hundred dollars. A broken timing chain could have also done MAJOR damage to the engine, so their recommendation to have this replaced while everything was apart was a very professional thing for them to do. I was also impressed with their efforts to get the work done quickly and efficiently. I had my car back within 24 hrs. of dropping it off. I would recommend AES for folks looking to get any kind of work done on their vehicle.

My Trans Am headlights would go out when I swithched to low beam. I took it to a local dealer who changed bulbs but could not fix the problem. Went Automotive Electronics and they found that a terminal box was corroded and they bypassed the box and the lights work properly

My only concern was that this gasket cost in excess of $40.00. I thought this was a bit pricey.

We are new in town and had a serious computer error on our 2002 Saturn L300 the day we unloaded our u-haul. The computer error rendered the car completely undrivable. Chevy dealer directed us to Automotive Electronic Service. After getting the car towed to them, they fixed at what appeared to be a fair price and finished two days earlier than they said they would. Once we got the car back, we noticed how terrible the muffler sounded in addition to the fact that the new computer did not talk to the fobs. We took the Saturn back to them the next week for a new muffler and they reprogrammed the fobs for free. We visited them a third time when our AC started acting up. This time we went in for an estimate and they had it almost fixed before we agreed to have it done. While this is a strike against them, the rate was reasonable and I'm glad it was done.

AES saved me from replacing a costly perfectly functioning senser. The people were friendly and I received prompt next day service.
