Our refrigerator was working, and cooling, but not quite enough. The freezer was fine. After the repair guy came, it stopped working all together. He took the distributor out, and put it back in. We now have a non-functioning refrigerator that we paid this guy $102 for. He said he could fix our refrigerator for $520 on top of this. Our fridge was working to begin with. It is a one year old Maytag, that we unfortunately do not have extended warranty for. The repairman was not helpful, not talking with us, and seemed to not knowing what he was doing. We feel ripped off, and he broke our refrigerator completely. He cost us over $1,000.

I had to wait an entire week for an appointment just to and quot;inspectand quot; my refrigerator and give me a work recommendation. I live three (3) minutes away from the store. I told the clerk on the phone that I had someone from Craig List had checked the refrigerator but he had not repaired anything. I told them what he had and quot;thoughtand quot; it could be but i told them more than once that no one had repaired anything on the refrigerator. On the day of the scheduled repair a older man comes in and opens the freezer and i tell him the same story that I told before --that a man from Craig List came out but did not attempt or repair anything. The Rapco repairman hands me the cap of the sensor (this is a ornamental piece that covers the sensor) and says and quot;well you can throw this outand quot; i replied in a joking manner and quot;are you sure i could not use it again?and quot;. He says :and quot;Well i should know I have been doing this for 40 years and quot; and he turns around and picks up his tools to leave. He has been in my home less than 5 minutes. He says and quot;i will send you a recommendation for repair but i will not work on units that have been worked on by people on Craig List.and quot; I told him repeatedly NO ONE had worked on this refrigerator. I called the store immediately asking for some type of explanation of what had just occurred. they took down the information and said they would call me back. I told Rapco I would be submitting a report to Angie list and wanted to give them an opportunity to make this right. The clerk said i would definitely get a call back with an explanation. I was very polite and calm despite the fact that i was furious that i had wasted an entire week to receive literally a five minute service call.with not even a hint as to what was wrong with my freezer. and wasted an entire day waiting for him to show up I told the clerk i would be submitting a report to Angie List at the conclusion. They never called me back and they never sent a work recommendation. So they had two occassions to provide good service.and failed at both. My guess is that at one time this company may have been good but new technology and over sized refrigerators (which mine is a large refrigerator) leaves them unable to complete work orders.I think this man knew he was going to have to pull out this refrigerator to work on it and it was just too large for him at his age.

Arrived as scheduled. Called 45 min before arriving to alert me. Did an fabulous job, more than expected. Fixed the hose, leveled both the washer and dryer, checked to see that the dryer was hooked up properly, and even ran a test load in both machines to make sure everything was working as it should. Did the job just like you'd hope for but never expect! Gave me lots of pointers about maintenance of the water/drains in this century house and even some pointers about the new community I've moved into. This was in great contrast to the handyman I hired for this job who mucked it up and then had a bad attitude. This was the complete opposite in experiences and I'll use this company again! A+

Called the company based on Angie's List. Response was almost immediate and the repairman came as scheduled, disassembled the dryer for an evaluation. He didn't have the parts with him, but said he would return the next day with the parts.

As promised, he returned the following day and installed the parts, but left without the dryer working properly saying that he would return again the following day with someone else who knows more about that type of dryer. And that it might need a new solenoid.

The following day he left a voice-mail saying he would be out the and quot;nextand quot; day. And when we called the office there was confusion with us and another customer with the same last name. The person in the office was not very helpful until after we shared our frustrations over the incompetence. Within a few mintutes, they called back and said he was on his way over to fix the problem.

He arrived shortly after, replaced the bearing with the proper size and replaced the solenoid with no additional charge. Then ran a test on the dryer and it now works like new. But it took 3 service calls to complete the job.

Repairman was very friendly and explained everything that he had done and gave tips on operating and upkeep.
Although it took 3 service calls in order to finish the job properly everything worked out in the end and I am happy with the work performed.

The repairman called on his way to our home, arived promptly, was friendly and informational. He identified the cause of the problem along with additional issues the the machine had or began to show signs of having and repaired all the items while he was there. He explained what was needed to me do to avoid having the issue occur again and what to do to ensure that the machine performs at optimal levels.

Ran pretty extensive diagnostics to identify the problem, which he eventually figured out was the starter. He replaced the starter with a test starter, and then returned later in the week with a factory starter. The fridge is running fine now, I'm pleased!

Bob called ahead of time to let me know when he would arrive. He was on time, polite, and knowledgeable. He re-attached the washer arm and gave us some much needed pointers on how to take care of the dishwasher. One thing you should know, the info on price on the Angie's list site is outdated. A service call is now $58.

I had some problem with my dryer which they were able to diagnose over the phone. I was able purchased the parts from them and replace them on my own. So, I am very pleased with over the phone part service that I got from them. They were able to tell me how to put the part over the phone itself which saved several hundred dollars for me.

Fantastic service! I called Rapco on Thursday (10/29) and was able to get on the docket for Friday afternoon (10/30). Bob called to let me know when he would be arriving, and was very punctual. It took him no time to take apart the washing machine and quickly diagnose the problem. (Who knew a golf tee could make it all the way through the spin cycle!) The new hose would have to be ordered (my fault - couldn't find the model #), but Bob was able to fix the hose without incident (I can still use the machine). Bob promised a callback to let me know the cost of a replacement hose, and I'll determine when to move forward with having it replaced. Bob is professional, courteous and efficient. Hopefully this golf tee incident won't occur again (well, at least until next season!), but if it does, I'll call Rapco!

The employees of Rapco were polite and professional. When we called, we were told a day for service, but had to call them back that morning for an estimate on the time. We called back Tuesday morning and were told that he would be out around 3:00. The repair man called around 2:00 and said he was on his way. He arrived a few minutes later. The service man was polite and professional. He was here for maybe half an hour total. The service charge was $58, even though their profile on here says $29.95 service call. He also charged $64 for labor and the part cost $70. (I had seen the part online for $48). We had originally told them that we needed him to look at both our fridge and our oven, but the refrigerator was working when he arrived, so he only fixed the oven. I thought the repair man was very professional, but I thought that we were charged a lot for the service call, especially considering their profile said it would be $29.95 and we were also paying him for labor. I also thought the labor cost was high because he was only here for about half an hour.

The store contact was very good in diagnosing over the phone, explaining how they charge and what things may cost. They explained their service and product warranties - which were just as good as Sears, and better priced. The serviceman was excellent at identifying the issue, replacing just what was needed, and explaining why. He cleaned all surfaces after he was done. He took the extra steps of priming the water line so that it was ready for ice making. I could not imagine a better service experience.
