About us
Weatherization Rx (WxRx) was founded in 2008 with 20 years of experience behind it. Since then, we have increased our staff size from 4 employees to 24 employees due to the overwhelming need within the energy industry. The tag line of our company is “Protecting the health of your home from the elements.” This simple line is who we are and what we do. Following the Ohio Department of Development Home Weatherization Assistance Program’s strict standards, our goal is to maximize energy efficiency while extending the life of your home. Our technicians attend continuing education classes to stay on top of the weatherization field, keeping an open mind to ever changing techniques and philosophies. The difference between WxRx and other “insulating companies” is that we follow the same program standards for the general population as we do for the Government assisted programs. Our service remains the same – high expectations, high results.

The estimate reflected the fact that 3 teams would be used.
They arrived promptly with 3 trucks for the 3 teams to do the work. Insulation was blown in and packing material applied. There were a few cracks in the ceiling/walls when the insulation was blown in, so they repaired/replaced the drywall there. They installed real wooden doors with latches, at the entry points to the attic spaces.
Considering that there were 9 men in my house and garage, they were most polite, friendly, and answered both my son's and my questions throughout the day. They were careful to take their smoke breaks away from the house, and didn't leave any butts. When they were finished, they vacuumed the rooms that were involved, and even down the stairs and into the living room.
There was a problem with one of the fixtures that had not been replaced properly. I was able to call Thomas, and he came over the next day, at my convenience, to fix it.
I have been quite satisfied with the work.
The one and only complaint that I would have was that when they needed personal items moved out of the way of their work, they moved the items themselves. I was in the house, and could have moved many items out of the way if I had known.
