Excellent. Rick came out to assess the job and determine what was necessary. He had run diagnostics which helped to determine what antenna would be the most appropriate for my geographic area. He was thorough in reviewing his etimate. An appointment was then set up for installation. Rick was able to use the existing antenna bracket on the chimney to install the new antenna. The job was done efficiently and neatly. Clean-up was great. Before Rick left, he had provided a printout of the different channels. He came inside and made sure that the signal was reaching the TV correctly. I was very pleased with the service that I had received from Rick, and would certainly hire him again for antenna installation. We receive a beautiful TV picture of over 20 channels.......all for no monthly charge!

This was, from start to finish, an excellent experience. Rick came out and assessed the building and made his recommendations from there. He left cable with me so that I could run it the length of my building and have it ready to go when he arrived. Now, please know that I offered to run the cable ahead of time and had preferred to do so. I am confident that Rick would have run the cable as part of the job if I had not done so. The installation went, for the most part, very smoothly. Rick was able to use the current mount on the chimney and adapted it to the antenna that he had installed. The finished job was neat and efficient. Rick hooked the cable up to the TV and made sure that all was working as it should prior to leaving. This was an excellent experience and I will certainly call Rick for future installations.

The job went extremely well.  Rick came when he said he would and went beyond the scope of work.  I was able to bring in 54 channels altogether.  The hard wire Ethernet cables and jacks worked out very nice, also.  Faster internet speeds because the computers are hardwired.  Nice job Rick.

Mr. Boshara came to our house twice. The first time, he looked at the installation site, discussed the details with us, and gave us a written estimate.
The second time, he installed the antenna, and then made sure that each one of our three TV's worked with the broadcast channels. This involved programming receivers, etc. since we have two TV's with analog receivers. He also made sure that our VCR and DVR worked with the new setup, and explained everything as he went along.
We are delighted with the new system (wonderful reception and lots of good channels), and very happy with Mr. Boshara's work, as well as with the time that he took to make sure that everything worked, and that we understood how to use the new equipment.

Rick came out and gave me a very reasonable estimate on getting an antenna installed. Within a week, he was at my house, installing it. He explained to me about the different tv stations antenna locations throughout the area & directed my antenna in the best position to receive the most channels. When there was a hiccup in getting power to the antenna, he never seemed to get angry or frustrated, and he didn't give up. I went from 20+ channels to 50+, and I know much more about television channel signals. I would recommend Rick in a heartbeat.

I've been wanting to "cut the cable" for a couple years now but wasn't sure who to call. Fortunately, I found Rick (Summit Antenna Service) on Angie's List and could not have been happier with my experience.
At first I was disappointed because about a year ago I purchased a "HD stacker antenna" online and installed it in our attic. The reception was ok but I wanted to move the antenna outside to free up the attic and improve the reception. I noticed Summit Antenna had this very antenna on display on their website under antennas. However, when I talked to Rick he said he doesn't sell the stacker antenna anymore because he found something much better. Well, he sure was right!
The antenna he sold me and installed, a Digitenna Fringe (50+ range), is awesome. First of all it is MUCH smaller than the stacker antenna. It is so small, it looks like a glorified indoor antenna. So no big, ugly antenna polluting the neighborhood. A smaller antenna also means less wind load. That was another concern of mine because we get some strong winds and I didn't want to worry about the antenna blowing over. And finally, the reception. This small antenna pulls in the Akron stations (and much more) that the larger stacker couldn't. The antenna has an embedded amplifier and draws it's (low voltage) power from the insulation in the coax cable - no extra power cord. The amp only uses 4 watts of power but if that's a concern, a "smart powerstrip" can turn it off right along with your tv. The amp got plugged in in the basement because it made most sense for my installation. It could be by the tv, or anywhere along the way.
The installation itself was excellent. Rick listened to my ideas about location and mounted it on the back of our chimney. He was also very meticulous and showed great attention to detail. Every cable was laid thoughtfully and neatly.
My only mild concern was the price. For the work Rick did, he certainly earned his $625 fee but from my perspective, we dumped basic cable that was costing us $25 a month so it will take us two years to recoup the investment. But those two years will pass soon enough and then the programming will be free. I'll also be able to recoup some of the cost by selling the stacker antenna I bought last year.
From Avon Lake, we get 39 digital and 2 analog channels. (3.1, 3.2, 5.1, 5.2, 6, 8.1, 8.2, 17.1, 17.2, 17.3, 17.4, 17.5, 19.1, 19.2, 23.1, 23.2, 23.3, 23.4, 23.5, 23.6, 25.1, 25.2, 25.3, 25.4, 25.9, 35, 43.1, 43.2, 43.3, 49.1, 49.2, 49.3, 49.4, 52.1, 52.2, 55.1, 55.2, 55.3, 61.1, 61.3, 61.4). These include some great programming that the cable companies pass over like: Antenna TV (8.2) Me-TV (19.2), Create TV (25.4), Bounce TV (43.2), Grit (43.3), This TV (55.3), Get TV (61.3), and Escape (61.4).

Rick came out and analyzed the area. He let me know which antenna would do the best for my needs depending on what stations I would like to pick up (distance and elevation from towers). I had concerns about appearance and Rick installed the antenna in the least conspicuous way possible. Rick installed and cleaned up the existing wiring and programmed my tv's. He explained how the antenna worked and went over future troubleshooting scenarios if anything ever happened. Very professional and did an excellent job on the installation. I highly recommend him for new antenna installation!

He checked distances to TV broadcasting towers, elevations of towers vs my home, chose correct antenna, and installed it to maximize signal strength. I am looking forward to many years of use with this antenna system.
He also explained the system, and answered all questions as work progressed. Very impressed with his professionalism!

Heard about this service from my sister after he wired her house. I am very pleased with the results, receive all the channels listed on his web page. He is very thorough, all exposed wires and the antenna are placed perfectly. The initial estimate and installation were timely. The picture on the tvs is actually better than when I had cable, at roughly $70 less a month. I do miss some of the cable shows but most can be watched on the internet. I would highly recommend this service.

After having used cable and satellite television viewing for YEARS we decided we were tired of paying the high and ever increasing prices for watching the few channels that were normally viewed. Before connecting with Summit Antenna, we connected with the company's website and were very pleased with what we read and definitely agreed with the company's philosophy on the work to be done and its importance. We then called, spoke to Rick and then met with him to discuss our options at which time he answered all our questions. At that time we knew we wanted Rick to do the work. A date was set for installation at which Rick arrived promptly . The work was meticulously completed in a very timely manner and Rick's professionalism was top-notch. We first heard of Rick Boshara by reading an article about his business in our local paper. When Dish raised our monthly rates from 35 to 40 I decided it was time to call Rick. He came, looked over our situation and gave us an estimate. Rick was very personable, helpful and informative. The day he came to do the install was wet and cold, yet he worked outside for hours with no complaint. I was impressed with his long hours and desire to do the install perfectly. For the amount of money we were paying him, I felt that he was going above and beyond the call of duty. He also assured us that if we had any trouble with reception that he would come back and tweak the system so that we would be satisfied. We have not had to do this, but I am sure he would fix it if we did. Here is the really nice surprise: we now get all our channels (and there are many in additon to the major broadcast channels) in HD! The clarity is wonderful. We never wanted to pay Dish extra for HD. And in less than 11 months we will have saved the amount we paid to Rick. What a wonderful deal. We are so happy!
