Description of Work: We bought an annual tune-up service for our furnace and air conditioner. We had this company install the system new about three years ago. It is a high-efficiency system with a special air purifier and humidifier. The humidifier had a red light on and we were not sure what it meant. The service rep performed the tune-up and fixed whatever was wrong with the humidifier. When he left, everything was working fine and the red light was no longer on. We didn't owe anything extra beyond the regular service contract.

 + 1 moreI have had occasional sewage backup in my utility room ( about once a year in the spring time). I got several bids. Most of the companies gave me the option to 1) inline relay of pipe 2) dig up the pipe and replace. ServicePro gave me the most reasonable bid and the owner Kelly was polite and professional. He did not talk down to a woman. This was the first time I dealt with a contractor myself and I felt comfortable with him. After the sewage pipe was replaced, I did not have the sewage backup anymore. Overall, the work was great and I would use their service again.
Description of Work: I had 60 ft of sewage pipe replaced by new pipe. They dug up 64 ft of my front yard and replaced with new pipes and also did a camera from that point to the street. The crew was very professional and knowledgeable. They also tidied up my yard. They recommended several options to handle the rest of my sewage problems including the options of doing nothing. I highly recommend their service again. It cost me $3600 to replace 60 ft of sewage pipe. I was not sure if that was reasonable but it was the lowest bid I got among several other plumbers.

Description of Work: The heat pump was tested and found to have an old defective part that was causing poor operation and a strange noise. We were offered a price to fix it that day or just to end the visit with the service call fee and shop. We decided to use them and get it fixxed right then. The part needed was in the truck and it was replaced quickly and has worked fine since.

They had explained that if the cleaning did not work, the electric panel would need to be replaced. we called a week later to have them order another one and they came and replaced it a few days later.

 + -1 moreThey had an Angie's LIst Big Deal for a new A/C unit and it had a few exclusions. I called them to make sure my house qualified and they offered to come out and make sure before I spent the money on the deal. The owner himself came out (I know because his picture was on the side of his car) and walked me through everything. My home did not qualify because I have a weird furnace system which I know and my A/C unit was considerably more expensive than the advertised deal. He was very knowledgable and helpful though so if I ever do decide to get A/C installed I would definitely consider them.

 + 0 moreIt took awhile to get ahold of them and schedule an appointment but I am guessing that was because of the ANgie's List Big Deal. On the day they were supposed to come they were late so I called. They didn't have me on the schedule and didn't have any record of my appointment. They got someone out but it was a few hours late. It was a big inconvenience because I had taken the day off from work and had other appointments scheduled that I had to rearrange. The plumber that came was very quick and efficient. He had my water heater drained in no time and then checked my sink. All in all he wasn't at my home long. Overall they did a good job.
Description of Work: The came to flush my water heater from an Angie's List Big Deal and checked some of my other plumbing.

We even had to have him back (we were being stupid and couldn't get the humidifier to turn on after he left). He came back and was just as polite, professional, and nice as he had been the first time! He could have been very aggravated with us, but was not. If he is any indication, Service Pros is a great company to use!

He remained composed when I falsely accused him of taking a personal electronic device that was temporarily missing during his visit. He actually helped me locate the device. I apoligized to him and appreciated his patience with me. I was particularly upset about the missing device because I had one stolen in the prior month and had just replaced it.
Description of Work: Plumbing system annual assessment covered under annual service contract. Service Pro plumber was on time, polite, thorough, professional. He provided estimates on two repairs.

She didn't say how late, but I did receive another call letting me know he was still an hour away. I decided to cancel the deal. I don't feel this is how one should conduct business.

On 4/16/2012 for the air conditioner they did an AC check, seal service valves with new caps, add freon, acid bath con coils, freon leak search and install an in-wall filter grill for $772.00. In both cases the work was well done professional. However when we had further trouble with the air conditioner we contacted a local company. As much as possible we try to use companies in or near Milford and that is the reason we would not use Service Pros again.

 + -1 moreThe inspection of my faucets and drains was accomplished without incident. The story above regarding the flush of the water heater is what happened when the service man set up to flush the water heater. The only flush he did was to connect the hose to the water heater drain and run about three gallons of water into a five gallon pail twice. When challenged, he insisted that six gallons was sufficient to clean the sediment from the water heater.
Description of Work: Most disappointed with the service I received. I paid for a water heater flush and would have been delighted if I had received same for the price of the big deal. I have drained water heaters before and know that in order to flush the sediment from the heater it is necessary to drain the water heater completely and follow that with a flush of fresh water. The service man declined to do so, saying the sediment in the approximately 6 gallons of water he drained was sufficient to clean the water heater. He obviously chose to do a quick and dirty job and I have no interest in having them back. I would like to get my money back!

 + -1 moreThey are excellent to deal with, trustworthy, and always prompt. We are very pleased with them. Their prices are fair. They are not the cheapest, but certainly not the highest. They do top quality work.
Description of Work: Thomas and Galbraith has been taking care of our heating and cooling systems for years. We purchased our air conditioner from them about 5 years ago, maybe 4. Up until that time they serviced our furnace and air conditioner. We moved from that house in March of 2011, but we still own it. We are currently renting it. They also take care of our other rental property as well, both heating and cooling. We will keep them as service providers for both houses. It has probably been close to a year for one house and less than a year for the other house, though I do not remember the exact date.
