Description of Work: Furnace was making a loud "boom" before the blower started -- so much so, it was a little frightening. I had purchased the house just a few months earlier, and hadn't used the furnace yet. After "Googling" the problem, I realized it could be not only dangerous, but could also do harm to other parts of the furnace.

Description of Work: For heating and AC, we use Controlled Comfort. He came to check out the air conditioner before summer. They installed a new air conditioner for me several years ago and a new furnace when mine went out when it was three below during the day.

They installed our heat pump and we have had no problems .At one point our thermostat wasn't working properly and we were told that we needed a new one . Controlled Comfort was able to repair it saving us the cost of a new one .We highly recommend them .

+ -1 moreThey were okay. They did put the Freon in but they also did a pressure check but it leaked out in three days. They told me that it would be an additional charge for them to come back and fix it, so I decided at that point, to start looking elsewhere. They could have given me a little more information before I spent my money on the services. I believe they probably should have checked to see if it would hold the Freon first. $150 for Freon was too much and they were close by, they are not very far from my house. They were very responsive.
Description of Work: I used Controlled Comfort Heating to fill Freon in my air conditioner.

+ -1 moreThey were very prompt and very professional. They listened to suggestions and were very clean. It was a good group of fellows; they had a mixture of younger and older workers. They were above average. We didn't have any complaints. We shopped around and they had the best price by far. It was good quality. We would absolutely consider using them again.
