Advantage Door

Wonderful service ,Steve installed a garage door for me about 5 years ago. Very professional, a very fair price and really did it right. The electric garage door looked great, sealed out the cold air , and worked perfect for all these years , no issues. Last week I hear unusual sound when I let the door down, call Advantage and Steve said he would come out this Saturday and check it out .He arrived Sat. and put two new large rollers on and lubercated the other smaller rollers. Works perfect and the sound is gone .I tried to pay him but he declined any payment, wish me a happy new year. If you want a quality product, honest person, at a reasonable price, call this place. I was worried that I'd be unable to leave for work on Monday morning since I couldn't open my garage. I called on Saturday late afternoon and set up the repair for Sunday morning. Steve was punctual and finished quickly. I would definitely hire him again!

Great from the time I left a message to completion of the work. All done professionally, on time. No complaints and no reservation about recommending to others.

I tried to contact 6 different garage door installation experts from Angie’s list to get a ball park figure for 2 new garage doors so I knew where to start with requesting actual estimates. I connected with 2 immediately and got estimates in the range of $2,000.00 which seemed a bit high but the worst part was that it would take 2 to 6 weeks before I could get the installation. As a result, I continued calling. I had to leave messages for the other 4 companies. I contacted Advantage Door and I had to leave a message, but their message said he would be back to me within the hour (or maybe ½ hour). True to the message, Steve returned my call within the half hour, and gave me a ballpark quote of $1600.00 but also said he would be glad to meet me in 1 ½ hours to do an accurate bid before he started his next job. Clearly and respectfully he explained to me what needed to be done. Being an older woman who is often dismissed in situations such as this – even asked if the person could speak with my husband on more than one occasion – I was very happy with the way in which I was treated. I was a businesswoman for 30 years and know how to conduct business conversations/negotiations so it's nice to be treated as if I have a brain. Steve’s final firm bid came in within $39 of the phone estimate even though I had accidentally given him the wrong (smaller) door size. In addition to that, he agreed to remove and discard the old wooden doors and rails, etc., do some specialty work due to the height of the garage and the way the previous openers were wired in a pretty obviously slipshod way, all included in his price. I was impressed. Then bonus, he said he could schedule me next week on Tuesday or Wednesday, whichever we preferred. He understood I was doing this for a rental, explained the better quality options, but did not do a hard up-sale at all which I had even gotten from one of the vendors over the phone. But, the proof is in the pudding, as they say. Well, on Tuesday Steve arrived at the agreed upon time, did a very thorough job – everything exactly as agreed. The garage doors look great, work well and debris from former doors was removed. Very pleased with the experience. Additionally, I was pleased to give Steve my business as he has served our country in the Army for 21 years, and I think he told me 14 of them overseas. (I asked him because he was wearing an Army t-shirt and I have a nephew who served in the Army, so I was curious). I did eventually get a call back from everyone within a couple days of leaving messages but I was pleased enough with Advantage Door that I went with them rather than wait to hear from the other 3 companies.

Replaced 2 garage doors and 1 garage door opener. Very prompt and professional. I would recommend highly.

Service was outstanding. Provided same day for springs and make an appointment for the new opener. All prices and products clearly identified on the website and no surprises on the invoice. Installed opener of very good quality and installation was as quick as could be expected. Went over all the opener features and assisted the setting of a new keypad code. Zero pressure to add any additional features. All in all, a very good experience.

Steve did a fine job of installing a 16 foot garage door and installing 2 locks on 2 different 9 foot garage doors. He could not see if the opener would work as the electric had been cut to the opener so he stated that he would be back to see if the opener worked when I had power. I called him about 3 weeks later stating I could get power there to see if opener worked so he wasn't waiting forever on me, but he would not return my phone calls (2 messages I left), nor did he ever come back out. It's unfortunate because he made it clear to me that he had garage doors and that he could service me in the future if I needed garage work done, and his work seemed good, but if he doesn't return phone calls, that is one headache I can do without.

Steve is the ultimate professional. He sells a quality product at a very competitive price. He does all the install and all other repairs himself. He warrants the product and the work that he does.

Called around 11am and made arrangements. Steve was here in a couple of hours and had the job done quickly and efficiently. Took the time to answer questions, no push for sales or upselling. Quick, to the point, and my garage door is working again.

Everything went fine. Prompt call back. Showed up on time. Explained thoroughly the process of sizing and adjusting springs to match the weight of the door. Nice guy, very professional

Called to enquire about service, Steve was here the next morning. Personable, knowledgable and quickly repaired the broken door and VERY reasonable. Very pleased with the quality or service and how quickly it was done. I will use again if the need arises and would give him my highest recommendation to anyone. Very satisfied customer. I've used Steve at Advantage Door multiple times - he's fantastic and I highly recommend him. He's very responsive (will come within 2 hrs of calling), gets the job done quickly and correctly, and he's very reasonably priced. He's also an ex-military guy, so you're supportig our returning troops by hiring him. Much better experience with him than the big companies I've hired in the past.

Steve Landrum set appointment with me on Wednesday for 09/30/2011. He called 09/30/2011 a.m. to reconfirm afternoon appointment like he said he would. He showed up clean and professional in appearance on time as promised. He took the time to explain what he was going to do and why. He did the job in less time than expected and took the time to run the door through several cycles to verify proper function. Steve is an U.S. Army veteran and very knowledgeable in his profession. I would call him for future work without hesitation and I refer him to Angie's List without reservations.
