Weed Man - Cleveland South OH

Paid for 6 treatments last year with the promise of a better lawn this year. Paid for the entire year in full. Was told by your representative to give your company a chance and I wouldn’t be disappointed. Unfortunately I did not see results. Paid additional for aeration and reseeding. Still nothing. Decided not to renew services. Apparently I was auto renewed, and charged for a weed application this year that I did not sign up for or want. Now weed man refuses to take off the charge and is demanding $73. Super shady weed man!

It was excellent. I highly recommend them to others.

I've owned my home in Highland Heights for over 10 years, and for the past 3 or 4 years I've had a big weed problem, especially clover and creeping charlie. This was the first year I hired a company to help control the weeds b/c I haven't found anything that works well on those pesky types of weeds. I hired them at the beginning of the season and explained the issues I was having. They did let me know up front that those weeds are difficult to get rid of and would probably take multiple treatments to get rid of. Throughout the season they did do a good job of getting rid of the other weeds but the clover and creeping charlie were still there. I did call them and they did send out a crew to provide extra weed killing treatments multiple times to try to get rid of but they didn't work. Towards the end of the season during the last treatment I was notified that I had grubs and was told they would come out to treat as well as send another weed killing treatment but neither happened. I did call again a few weeks later regarding the extra weed killing treatment and was told again they would schedule it but they never showed. I wish I would not have hired them and would not recommend unless you only need basic lawn care b/c now I'll be starting another season with the same weed problem.

They do good work, the employee who come to care for the lawn are well trained. Sorry I don't have any more to write but hey if I can't submit this evaluation because it doesn't have enough text then I'll add to it by filling it with junk that just doesn't matter. Does that suit your requirements? Let's just see what happens this time around and see if I can submit a review because I filled it up with text!

They are great, nothing but great things to say. My lawn turned around 180 from where it was before Weed Man. I would recommend them.

It is going well, they arrive on the date that they say they will. I've spoken to the new owner and he was very helpful with an issue I have in the backyard of weeds between the fences (mine and the neighbors). The young people who come to do the work are polite.

We've used this company for 25 years. We have never had a problem with them. Very professional and attentive, it's a well run company.

They do a good consistent job.

They do a good job of calling ahead of time to let me know they will be there, good communication, considerate, and flexible. I am pleased with the services.

Four visits a year is $180 when it is prepaid. It is probably about $200 if you don't. We still get ants in the house every now and then. They can't keep them all out I guess. If you call them, they come back out and treat against them. They come out and treat. I have noticed that the guys are not just wandering around the house, they spray the foundation pretty well. They come when they are supposed to. You don't call them, they show up on a schedule. There are a bunch of homes in this neighborhood that use them. They come out and do them all at the same time. Punctuality doesn't apply because we don't schedule.They are fairly professional.

I contacted Weed Man a few months ago to continue my lawn care fertilization and weed kill service. After contacting a couple companies I decided to go with Weed Man. BIG MISTAKE! The sales department gave an excellent selling spiel that had me convinced Weed Man was the only choice. After agreeing to use them for my lawn care service, communications just fell through the cracks and product quality litteraly sucked. I have my backyard gates locked and requested that they call 24 hours in advance so that I could unlock the gates. I expressed that just leave a message and I will be sure to open the gates for them. After leaving them unlocked for several days the technician never showed up. He would just show up without notice or  he would call while he was on his way. Well, he would arrive to locked gates since I was already at work. Is it really that hard to do a 24 hour courtesy call?
Also, I was told that they would do a soil samples from each part of the yard (front, back and both sides) and a complete lawn analysis. I have requested the results or some communication on the course of action that my lawn would need. I have never seen or heard from them regarding the results and what my lawn needs. I highly doubt that these services were ever done.
They have come out several times to kill weeds- many of them the same ones they "treated" previously. Those same weeds are still thriving in my lawn. Oh, don't be surprised if they "treat" weeds in the pouring rain. 
I would highly discourage you from using this company for your lawn care fertilization and weed killing needs.
 

Through all the hype and Hoopla promises are made but seldom are kept, This was a rainy year, and this was a major concern for me. My yard is not very big and I priced out my yard as well as for a family member, My yard was less than half the size of of some of the yards in Parma Heights but when I compared prices it was the same. I asked for a discount on my yard but was told that it all comes into play as to if there are other jobs being done in the area, service call, etc. etc. etc. Well with a little persistent I did get a discount. since I referred some else. Now I don't know if this made me a second class client of theirs; because, of the discount but it sure felt that way. 

I had techs coming out in light drizzle to do my yard.

I had tech come out the morning of forecasted thunderstorms for that day

I had techs come out without warning and redo the lawn and wound up with I sick dog for 3 days.

I had techs come out and burn the lawn with excessive chemicals because their service was poor and the yard was actually worse than when they started. 

I do have pictures of all the above(except for the sick dog) but I do not know if Angie's List allows such actions. I was going to take them to small claims court but decided it wasn't worth the hassle

The grass isn't growning too well, and he is assisting me.  So far, everything is going very well.  He will be out in the next few weeks to finish.

This was the first year I contracted with Weed Man Lake County and I am happy with their service. They are very professional and call before they come out. They go the extra step to work with us regarding when to put the fertilizer down since we do not have a sprinkler system. They are very responsive if you have a question. The price depends on the size of your yard.

We have no complaints with them, and have used them for about four years. They do a good job and if we are not here they will leave a note as to what they did. We have always been satisfied.

They are conscious about being in my yard. They seem real pleasant. I have no complaints with them. I talked to them on the phone and they are very nice. They took care of a lot of weeds.

"Rich" and "John" applied the fertilizer to the entire lawn quickly and quietly. Left written notice of treatment, including observations of any lawn problems (snow mold in some areas) and recommendations (rake the affected areas). Posted locally required notice that lawn treatment had been applied.

Technicians did not seem really knowledgeable and were unable to answer questions on our law condition without having a supervisor call. Still waiting on a lawn analysis done in July. Requested for manager to call, but no response. I cancelled our service.
