They have some specials there too. The price of the tires were competitive. The cost was fair. It depends on how many things we have to do on how long it takes to get in and out.

They have same day service when I call, they take you immediately. It takes them less than an hour to complete the oil change. The workers are very professional and friendly.

The batteries in the key fobs were the originals and they were starting to lose their charge. If you turn the key, at least in my Sedan, it makes all the alarms go off and you have to jump back into car real fast to stick the key in the ignition real fast. In the winter time, at my office, I park on the surface lot and not the garage, not only because it's closer, but because I can stick my key fob up against a window, if I have a line of site, and I can start the car. That way when I get to it, it's warm. It was not working. I had 4 fobs and they were $3.25 a piece. I guess next time, now that I know how to open it, I can go to Target and buy them there. I thought you actually had to stand next to the car and do something. I guess not. The dealership treats me very well. There's been times, with recalls and stuff, that I literally brought one car in the morning and then the next one in the afternoon. I spent the day there and they brought me cookies and let me test-drive anything I wanted to. You get an oil change over there, it costs more than taking it to another place. If I have other things that I have to do, though, I just have them take care of that. When I had trouble with the convertible top, I kept trying to turn it off and turn it on, and set in a parking lot for half an hour, because I wasn't going to leave the top down. I'm scared to death of a big goose flying over-head depositing something on the leather and I didn't want to trap bugs in my car. I go in, they take the car. When I went in for a wheel alignment, they told me that the springs were bad. I was there for 1/2 hour and the car was on the lift and the guy was tinkering underneath it. He went to get his manager and they both came back and told me I needed new springs and they couldn't do the wheel alignment. I told them that I wanted to call around. When I decided to go back to them, the got me in within a day that I called. They are fast and everyone is knowledgeable and they know how to schedule people. They told me that the convertible only needed the ignition fixed, but the sedan had to have 3 things that needed to be fixed and they were going to take some time to work on it. They offered me a loaner and I said yes.

They told me they could fix it but they would charge me $1000. I wasn’t smelling gas until they worked on it. What they did was they cramp the gas line. They are the ones that caused me to mess up the motor. They told me to drive my four wheel drive on drying pavement and to drive it like that and it won’t harm me.  They didn’t do right.

I took my car there last year and in fact, I have to make an appointment now for the regular checkup. They usually charge me $30 for an oil change. I have no problems. If I did have a problem, I would look for somebody else.

I had an absolutely horrible experience at Sims Buick and GMC, particularly with the service department. I have a GMC SUV and it was having an engine malfunction. I had initiated a claim with GMC customer assistance, hoping that they would aid in the cost of the repair since I was just a couple of months out of the factory 5 year/100,000 factory warranty. GMC customer assistance advised me to bring my SUV to a GM dealership to obtain a diagnosis. At that point they would review my case and decide whether or not they would provide financial assistance with the repairs.

I dropped my SUV off at Sims Buick GMC service garage to obtain a diagnoses. Two weeks passed while I was using a rental car at my own expense. The service department manager, Ron Cidor of Sims Buick GMC finally contacted me, stating that they were unsuccessful in diagnosing my vehicle and that I would need to commit to paying at least $3,000.00 to obtain a diagnoses due to complications. They also stated that if I decided not to move forward with the diagnosis or repairs that I would be required to pay a balance of $330.00 just to retrieve my SUV in the exact same condition that it was in when I dropped it off 2 weeks prior. I was extremely unhappy with this result to say the least. Not to mention the fact that due to their inability/refusal to diagnose my vehicle's malfunction, GMC had denied me any financial assistance in repairing my vehicle.

It even specifically states in the final print out that I was given when I picked up my vehicle that the misfire in my engine was likely due to a sticking exhaust valve. All Sims had to do was report these findings back to GMC headquarters and I would have at least had a 50/50 chance of obtaining some financial assistance with getting my SUV repaired. I have analyzed this situation from every possible angle and I cannot seem to figure out why the dealership would not report back to GMC with a valid diagnosis. They had nothing to lose and everything (including my business) to gain. I am bewildered.

I contacted and voiced my displeasure with Ron Cidor, the service dept. manager. He was extremely rude to me, raising his voice on several occasions. Ron also stated to me earlier on in this process that he would use and quot;his influenceand quot; to and quot;fight this giantand quot; with me. My interpretation of this was that he would do whatever he could to help me attain financial assistance with my vehicle. Ron later contradicted himself, stating that he had and quot;little or no influenceand quot; in what financial assistance was handed down from GMC headquarters. I later met with the Doug Doerr, the service department director only to be told that had I been an existing customer and had I previously spent money at Sims Buick GMC that he would be more inclined to assist me with my vehicle and its issues. I played a recording of my conversation with Ron Cidor to Mr. Doerr and asked him how he felt about a customer or consumer being talked to/treated this way. Mr. Doerr's response was simply, and quot;it just sounds like two guys haggling/arguing to me.and quot; He also said to me in a direct fashion, and quot;you're not a customer, you're trying like h*** to be, but you're not a customer yet.and quot; I'm not sure if this was his way of and quot;earningand quot; my business, but needless to say it didn't work.

Finally, Sims attempted to charge me a fee of $330.00. I refused to pay due to the circumstances mentioned in the above text. The only reason that they didn't charge me in the end, is because I refused to pay.

With all things considered, after two weeks with my vehicle out of commission, rental car fees, and hours spent on the phone, I ended up exactly where I was before contacting Sims Buick GMC. I was treated very poorly and I strongly suggest to anyone considering doing business with Sims Buick GMC to make an educated decision, using my story as one reference point. I wouldn't wish this type of service or treatment upon anyone. I consider myself to be a pretty fair and compassionate individual and I understand that the sole purpose of doing business is to make money. However, no one should be allowed to treat a consumer the way I was treated without consequence. In my final meeting with Mr. Doerr, I made it clear to him that if I walked out of his office without any further resolution to my situation that I would proceed to use any resource at my disposal to pass along my experience with Sims Buick GMC to other consumers. I also went so far as to record conversations held between Ron and I, as well as Mr. Doerr and I.

Ron Cidor took it a step further and personally attacked my father and I because my father coincidentally knows the mechanic who serviced my vehicle at Sims Buick/GMC. Ron attempted to lay some sort of a guilt trip on me, accusing me of and quot;stiffing my buddyand quot; or and quot;I'm going to go stiff your buddy.and quot;

I made it clear to all involved that this had nothing to do with the service department mechanic who worked on my vehicle and that I was solely dissatisfied with the way the dealership handled the situation. I will be including these recordings in my complaint letters to GM, GMC, and the Attorney General.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. ** I recorded the final conversation between the sales dept. manager, Ron Cidor and myself using an app on my iPhone. The recording speaks for itself so please have a listen as there are many inconsistencies between what I was told by Sims, what I was told by GMC, and what Ron told me in our conversations. http://youtu.be/Axn3XDIMeQQ

Sims Buick GMC in Euclid has been phenomenal to work with for service! Gary and Dave are more like friends than just the guy behind the service desk. They have serviced my wife's Pontiac G6 for years and had done such a good job that they now service my Kia Sportage. Says something when I am taking my car to a different dealer for service!
This time around they perfomred an oil change along with a complete inspection taking care of maintenance issues that were most urgetn and listing out what should be done at the next visit. this visit included replacing lights, air and hepa filters, flushing the transmission as well as fixing an oil leak due to a faulty sensor and taking care of axle and differnetial fluids.
And next are belts and such so they will be getting another $500+ from me soon, and I am happy to do it becuase I know it is done right and at a fair price.Keep up the great work!

It was fixed, they did it right, they are pleasant, and they gave us a discount. We're very pleased with their service and have used them for six years. They were willing to take us home (which was a half hour away) and come and pick us up when it was fixed. It was a very short amount of time to fix it so it wasn't worth going home. They are willing to work with us.

The working needed to be done for safety so that the anti-long brakes would work properly. The work was doing promptly when I brought the car in for the appointment.

They were very good and were recommended by the place that I used to take my car to when they ran out of business. I usually took my car in for an oil change and change of lube and they would take care of it. They were professional, responsive and honest.
