The service was great, the job was done correctly. It just took about 6 weeks before we could get them to come out (there was a recent windstorm that resulted in a high demand for tree service). They successfully removed the tree without damaging any gas lines or property. The price was competitive compared to other quotes we received.

It went very well. We have a small patio between our house and garage with no access for big machines, and they did it all with shovels. They brought three people, the main business owner himself and two helpers. They were able to dig out both stumps without grinding, but these were not particularly big trees. They dug out some smaller plants and put them off to the side, which was very nice of them -- I was able to replant them later after they left. They took all the debris away, I think they had a chipper with them in their truck.
All ineraction with them by phone went well. I honestly don't remember at this moment how far ahead we called them before they came out, but they came when they said they would.
I would definitely use them again. I hope not to be removing any other trees for a few years, but we will certainly have some trimming work, and I will go to them if possible.

We had used Brown's Tree Service on one other occasion and were pleased with his work. and  he did not fail us this time round.  He was able to do the work sooner than he had originally thought which worked out well for us.  He and his crew completed the job in a timely manner and cleaned and hauled everything away.

Neighbor panicked and called first person in phone book and they over charged her and broke her asphalt driveway from their equipment. She is the type to wash her driveway and take care of her yard. So then I found Brown's chip a way tree service to fix the work on my lot. They came out on time and had a giant crane and a truck to pick up and eat branches. Five guys for the job and two of the guys went up the tree with ropes to rope up the tree for removal. They were so quick with every detail. They removed the 10 ft. part of the tree that broke off. The owner talked to me while they did the work, the workers knew what to do without the owner advising them. The had cut the tree to ground level and into pieces within 20 mins. They did not even leave dust in the driveway. They cleaned all of it up. They did such a great job, it was worth it to just watch it. I was thrilled to death and I have not had any other trees problem since.

He was very responsive to our initial call, called us back within a day and came over the weekend to give an estimate. Mr. Brown was courteous, professional and patient in answering all our questions. On the scheduled day the crew arrived right on time. They were very professional and respectful of the property. The tree was cut down to the exact point we wanted. We had large branches hanging over our house, and they were each carefully strapped and cut away. Then the roots were all ground and taken care of. Finally, the entire area was neatly cleaned of all debris. The work took a couple of hours, which was what Mr. Brown said it would take.
We ended up paying a competitive rate (we compared 5 quotes) for superb service!

Tom was very responsive to our request for a bid.  He did the work within days of the estimate and the job was done quickly and without any problems.

They were fine.  They showed up when they were supposed to and they did exactly what we had asked them to do.  They cleaned up after themselves so we didn't have any mess afterwards.

They did a very good job at a reasonable price. 

I looked on Angie's List for tree service and found three possibilities on August 11th.  I called all of them.  Tom Brown called me on the 12th and had an estimate in my mailbox that same day.  I called him back on Monday and left a message and everything was scheduled for Friday the 19th.   Tom and crew showed up at the appointed time with a crew of three others and a very high-tech crane and chipping apparatus and in 45 well-choreographed minutes the trees were gone and the yard cleaned of all debris.  Their estimate was over a hundred dollars cheaper and came faster.  They had good ratings from Angie's List so I was confident to go ahead.  Tom was very professional and friendly in all our dealings over the phone and in person.  I couldn't  be happier!  I have other trees on the property that need to go and I will surely use Brown's Chip-A-Way for them as well.

Of the three tree companies I contacted, Mr. Brown's was the first to respond with an estimate and date he could do the work.  His price was also the most reasonable.  Even better, he was able to take down the tree even sooner than anticipated (which was a great relief to the neighborhood).  He brought his crane, chipper, and three men.  I watched as they took the tree down safely and efficiently, wasting neither time or resources.  I would definitely call him again.

We had several people come out to look at the job, two of whom said that they couldn't do it. The tree was positioned in a difficult spot; there were power lines around it and it was close to houses. Also there was no heavy equipment access. We left for work in the morning and when we got home the tree removal was finished.

I would recommend them in the future.

They called back very promptly, within a few hours of my message. He gave me an estimate over the phone and was at the house within a few hours after that. They took care of the large branch as well as an excellent clean up of the front yard. All in all it was a great transaction.

Overall it went excellent. They provided a service that not many companies are willing to provide and they did it exactly how they said they were going to do it. Many companies want to leave you the grinding mess, but this company cleans it up. They also ground down stumps from somebody else who wouldn't grind the stumps. I would recommend them to anybody.

I'm so happy with the finished result. Other than an uneven yard you could never tell there was a tree there at one time. Their work was wonderful. You could tell by watching that the employees knew what they were doing and enjoyed it. The clean up they did was very good. After grinding stumps the homeowner is usually left with tons of chips. I didn't have any. It didn't even need a sweeping. I was so impressed.

His professionalism, knowledge, and price were all great.

CAME OUT QUICKLY FOR AN ESTIMATE AND FIT US IN AROUND OTHER BIGGER JOBS HE HAD GOING. WE WERE EXTREMELY HAPPY WITH THE RESULT.

THEY WERE THE ONLY COMPANY TO ACTUALLY CALL US BACK, OUT OF 4 CALLED. TOM WAS REALLY POLITE AND QUICK TO RESPOND--A NICE CHANGE. THE DAYS HE SAID HE COULD GRIND THE STUMPS DOWN, WE WOULD BE OUT OF TOWN. I FIGURED WE'D NEVER GET THESE STUMPS DONE AND WOULD HAVE TO CHASE THEM DOWN AFTER VACATION. WHEN WE RETURNED, TO OUR SURPRISE, THE STUMPS WERE GONE. TOM HAD KEPT HIS WORD, THE AREA WAS CLEAN LIKE THEY WERE NEVER EVEN THERE, AND OUR PROBLEM STUMPS WERE FINALLY GONE!

BROWN'S RESPONDED QUICKLY TO OUR REQUEST FOR AN ESTIMATE & DID THE JOB WITHIN A WEEK (I BELIEVE) OF OUR CALL BACK TO THEM. THE AREA WAS LEFT CLEAN & FREE OF DEBRIS, & ALL OF THE VISIBLE ROOTS WERE REMOVED.
