Terrible customer service. Charged for call but when questioned about the estimate they provided they refused to provide an explanation. They would rather terminate a long term relationship than work with the customer. Not worth the aggravation. Say away.

After failing to fix the furnace correctly the first time, the attempt to have them come and actually do the job they were supposed to do has been a disaster. We submitted a request through the AHS warranty, and gave them a (707) area code number, which they were able to to call to schedule the service. I was then called by a very friendly woman who asked me which phone number they should call day-of service. I gave her my (614) number. We had a window from 1pm-5pm. Day-of I check my email and see that the tech is on his way at 11:15am, and would arrive at 12:15am. Just after 11:30, I see that the tech is "on the job." I texted him and said I was on my way. Rather than stay, he chose to "leave town" and leave us without a furnace...for an entire weekend. The woman answering the phones LIED saying the only number they had was (613) area code--yet the day before they called our (707) number and then specifically asked me for my (614) number. She hung up on me twice, lied repeatedly, and made no effort to solve the problem, even though the fault was entirely ON THEIR END.

The ladies in the office are the managers of the company. They are friendly, but have no clue what’s going on with their technicians. Despite not being able to resolve the issue, they still sent the same two technicians out 5 different times. Supposedly the techs were here fixing five different things with no luck. Including rewiring my thermostat that had been working perfectly fine for over 25 years, and still no air. Even after I paid over $200 for Freon, on the sixth visit, one week after it was filled, they said the problem was that I needed a new compressor and that I have to pay for Freon all over again, and pay a $279 fee for a new customer kit because the compressors were different. I watched him on camera do a three hour job in 45 minutes .. I refuse to pay the $279 for the kit because he never used it. After that the central air works great but now my thermostat is going crazy because he rewired it. So I called them back out, and a new technician arrived, telling me the other technician rewired my thermostat system wrong and he could not figure it out, and that they were going to have to call my Home warranty to try to get it fixed.   Three weeks went by, and I never heard from them. Then one day, I went back to have new windows installed in my house just to find out that the last technician that was out never put my central air back together. So for three weeks, my unit was exposed to the rain, and other elements. I called them and they tried to lie and say it was like that when they showed up. First of all not it was not, second of all, that’s their job, you know it should not be exposed like that. Why not make me aware of this, or put it back together. I have 19 Surveillance cameras at my house, I went back and reviewed the Camera footage, just to see him take it apart and never put it back together. Now we are at A month and 17 days later, I still have not heard back from them. Warning: Avoid this company. They do crappy work And lie

I have a home warranty that sent this company to repair my AC. It took them a week and two visits to diagnose the problem (bad compressor), and then technician was blaming electrical problems for compressor failure in the report sent to home warranty company, which was not correct. That incorrect diagnosis delayed my service for another 2 weeks since home warranty company had to send another company for a second opinion. Second company didn't find any electrical problems, since there was no electrical problem, and is in the process of replacing compressor. I think part of the blame is on Home warranty company, who does not do a good job on evaluating contractors, but lack of experience can cause additional pain and delays for homeowners. Customer service (except Jessica) very rude, and hanged up when called to inquire about the status. I would not hire this company again. Check BBB review as well.

DO NOT TRUST this company as anyone who lies will also cheat you. We received no apology either after taking time off work and waiting all afternoon. We never received any returned call or correspondence even after I contacted them via their website and offered to show them caller id photos of their calls. Additionally they wanted $75 for service call in which they wanted no details of the issue. They stated they would then return to make the repair at a second charge.

Airmax was great to work with.  They were assigned by American Home Shield to repair my AC.  They came out on a Thursday and discovered I had a leak in the AC line. Came back out on Friday (with extra Nitrogen to look for the leak)  and located the leak where a nail from the recently replaced roof had struck the line. The leak was between the sheetrock and the roof.  I had this opened up on Saturday and the nail whole located.  Airmax came out on Sunday (Mother's Day!) an repaired and charged the AC system.  They did this because they knew how hot the house was getting and did not want to delay the job till Monday.  They did not charge me extra for coming out on a Sunday.  FYI American Home Shield would not cover the repair since the damage was done by a contractor doing work on the house (understandable and roofer agreed to pay for the repair).. Airmax still gave me the AHS discount on the refrigerant which was the most expensive part of the job.  Great job Airmax.

We were out for the evening for a couple of hours and when we returned home the house was colder than usual.  After turning up the thermostat it kept getting cooler.  Called Air Max and they were out in approximately one hour (10 PM).  After checking out the furnace the problem was quickly discovered and repaired.  Robert was very pleasant to work with and we appreciated their availability to come out that same evening.

Update -- After talking with a family member who owns an out of state HVAC company we were a little concerned about the charges on our statement.  Called AirMax to question one of the charges.  Was not only told the charges were correct but that we could not compare charges with an out of state company as each state was completely different.  The lady I talked too was not very professional and at times even rude.  Did not appreciate her attitude -- she really lowered my impression of this company since we were very satisfied with the work done and the service tech who did the repair.  Overall and Professional would have been an "A" if it were not for the follow-up call.

They were excellent and reasonable on price. Very knowledgeable and pleasant. They were able to detect the sources of the problem. Other providers who had come out were only able to partially solve the problem.

Robert was great to work with.  Straight shooter.  His crew came out on Saturday morning, when he said he would, and they were very professional.  Cleaned everything up when they were done and now it is ice cold in my house.  Thanks Robert!

I contacted our home warranty company when our furnace began making this loud banging noise.  I filled out the online service request on a Wednesday and was contact the following day by AirMax.  They could not come out until the following week.  The service technician showed up on Monday, at the scheduled time and quickly diagnosed the problem.  He said that a part needed to be ordered and they should be able to fix it in a few days.
On Thursday, I called and left a message and got a call back on Friday. The lady at AirMax said that the wrong part had been ordered.  She made some comment about it not being their fault and they would call when it came in.  Another week went by - again phone messages were exchanged.  When I talked to the lady at AirMax she said they had just gotten the part but couldn't get me on the schedule until the following Tuesday between 9 - 11.  I did not get confirmation the day before, so I called the morning of the appointment and left a message asking them to please confirm that they were coming this morning.  Two hours later, I called and left another message (all voice mail).  After they did not show up by noon - I called the home warranty company.  He called AirMax and got the lady on the phone.  He had us all on the phone at the same time.  The lady, Joey (I found out her name) explained that she had listened to my message and was trying to figure out how to get someone out to make the repair.  When I told her how frustrated I was and that she really should have called me to let me know there was a problem with the schedule, she began yelling at me.  She said that it was not her fault.  They had computer issues over the weekend and my appointment was not on the calendar.  She also said that since she had not gotten to work until 11:30 - it was not her fault that I had not had my phone calls returned and if I wanted her to take care of getting someone out today, I needed to quit talking and listen to her.
She said she would have someone come by the end of the day - and literally, at 6pm, he showed up and got the part installed.  Both of the technicians who came out were friendly and seemed to do a great job.  But the customer service was awful and we wound up being without a furnace and air conditioning for 21 days.  Had she allowed me 2 minutes to vent about the scheduling issues, the wrong part being ordered and the length of time it had taken to get someone out - and just said, I'm so sorry - I will take care of it today....it would have gone a long way!
BTW, the technician said that this company worked with two of the largest home warranty companies in the area and they were always backed up.

They showed up when they said they would. They were not late and they performed the work well. They were very polite and professional. I felt they were very honest and I felt safe in my home. It is a family owned company and it was a very pleasant expeience. There were two technicians here doing the work and it took about 6 hours to complete. I couldnt say enough good things about them.

Someone came out and determined what was wrong with the first furnace. They determined a motor was needed. Someone came out the next day and installed it. The second furnace just needed cleaned. The company was quick to get there and did a great job. I will use them for all of my furnace needs.

My husband passed away late last year and was the ultimate handy-man that fixed everything. Now that I'm on my own I have to rely on various service providers in the area. I'm pleased to say that Airmax was extremely courteous, responsive and thorough. I'm sure my late husband would have approved! Thank you Airmax for your speedy response to my broken furnace!!!

All in all, they did a fine job. I just think that they should spend more time doing a thorough estimate and lower their prices a little.
