TruGreen Lawn Care - 5155

We were a customer for over ten years, and noticed in the last year that our lawn was not doing very well. One day my neighbor, who also is a Trugreen customer, noticed the Tech stopped in front of our house, put a flag in each of our yards, but did not apply treatment and drove off. He caught them doing this twice and called Trugreen, and he advised me to do the same. They apologized and were to credit us for the two payments. we received one credit, but they kept billing us for the second. With multible phone calls, we could not get it rectified, so we canceled them, and we are now looking for a new provider thru Angie's list.

I have been using Trugreen for years but am canceling contract. I worked with them several times to get them to alert me before they came out as I have cats and have to keep them in for the day. They failed to do so several times. The last time they did send me a "missed message" on my phone (not a phone message). The said they do not do emails or texts. I'm now looking for another service that does. The lady I talked to about it the last time must have been having a bad day. She was rude and dismissive.

I think we paid some in advance and they took some money off for that.

We bought a plan at the beginning the year. We?ve had them for a long time. I would give them an ?A? straight through. I wouldn?t give them a bad grade at all. They are very comparable. They?re easy to work with. If it?s too high, we talk about that. They?re very comparable as far as their prices go. Their prices are very good. 

We?ve had them for years. I like the gentleman that comes out all the time. They do very good work and we?ve never had a problem with that. Whenever they say they are going to come out, they come out. If it?s going to rain, they call ahead of time and reschedule. All the products that they use on our lawn are good for weeds and that. If there?s a weed that pops up, you give them a call, they?ll come back out and take care of that at no charge. The gentleman that we usually have is Eric. He?s wonderful. I?ve gone out asking him questions a lot. He answers straight forward and everything. We?ve had him for years. 

The service are fine. They do come regularly. I think the price is high.They are good.

They sort of automatically come to do things. They don't wind up asking first. They just do it and I get a bill. There are times when they provide services that I wouldn't necessarily have requested. I'm billed for it and I have to pay for it. I guess I'd rather have them contact me before they come to do an application than just doing it without asking and billing me.

They do it on a daily basis. They just contact when they come out depending on the season. They could have improved their cost. Their service stood out to me.

They come when they say they will be here.

They were here whether we were here or not.  They would either call or send us a note saying that they were coming and asking us to have our 2 dogs inside.  They are very good.  We have not compared their price with any other company.  They come once a month and they always called and they were always on time.

I had a good experience with them. I used them for about nine months just to get my lawn in order and I am taking over.

I think their price is fair.  I don’t really interact with them.  I think my lawn looked better and greener.  I don’t know if it is the chemical they use, I’m not sure.  They come when they said they are going to come.

I have used them in the past and brought them back and they've been doing a great job since.  They've given me a good price and my lawn looks better. They come out in a timely manner.

I have been using them probably for four years. I think they are easy to deal with and results are always very good. I would continue to use them.

I called them many time. They said someone will take a look at my demaged lawn, but no one showed up in 10 days.

I have been using them for about three years now. I engage them based on some recommendation from one of my neighbor may be and then the pricing was good. They are pretty responsive and providing good service. I don't have any reason to discontinue and so I keep continue using them.

I felt like they really had a good knowledge and knew quite a bit about the extra grasses and weeds and what would be best for my particular lawn. I have a different soil than another area and they really were very good in taking care of my lawn.

I hired Trugreen to treat our lawn and the lawn at my rental, based on a recommendation from a colleague.  I pre-paid for the entire season and received a discount for paying in advance.  Everything started out just great.   Both lawns were treated as promised.  I'd get a phone call when a treatment was scheduled.  The lawns both looked healthy and green.  We met and talked to our technician.  He was personable, knowledgeable and professional. 
When "Eric" stopped working there, we started having problems.  Trugreen would send an automated call telling me the treatments were scheduled, then they wouldn't show.  Sometimes the treatment was simply ineffective.  During the dry spell, I tried to postpone treatment, but they showed up anyway.  Every time there was a problem, I had to call to have it resolved.  And every problem WAS resolved, but sometimes it took a few phone calls.
The last treatment was a lawn aeration.  They did NOT call ahead, and the machine cut the wire on our dog's invisible fence.  It took nearly a whole day for a manager to call me to make arrangements to have the wire repaired.  The technician who caused the damage said his paperwork didn't indicate we had an invisible fence.  Interesting, because Trugreen had dropped off flags to mark the fence line a month ago.  But we never had a chance to put them out, since the service was performed without us being notified.
When you call customer service, you talk to a representative in another city.  Most of my phone calls were documented in their records, but the rep had to read through all the notes to figure out what was going on. 
If I hire a Lawn Fertilization and Treatment company again, I'm going to look for a locally owned lawn care company. 

TruGreen is very reputable. Our lawn looks wonderful. They come out on a monthly basis to work on our lawn.

They also spray the lawn and they are pretty reasonable with the price because I have a big yard. They are willing to work with me. They come out with some mobile type of yard machine and he will drive around and spray the 3 acres that I have. I have had other companies come out and tried to look like they were doing something, but they really didn't. TruGreen has the equipment so they are inclined to really do the work because they can ride around and do the spraying for me.

Last year I had prepaid for the service and then they came out and did the work and they billed me for it! It was as if the parent company that was doing the billing and the local company were not and quot;talkingand quot; to each other. I want them to get their record keeping correct. So now, I don't prepay anymore. It is not worth it to get the small discount to prepay. It was too much trouble last year.

I will continue to use their services in the future.

They have been very good. I have used them for several years.

They were doing a good job for fertilizing the yard. After the third year they started using liquid instead of granules. I requested that they used the granules on our yard. They would still bring the liquid. The guy would park in the driveway and leak oil. We told them to just forget it, my husband just does it now. Eventually, the manager even admitted that the granules were better than the liquid. I told him that he lost a customer who paid on time.

When I asked for their services over the phone, I specifically told them I wanted their tru-organic service. The questions I asked where about their organic program only. I repeatedly asked for assurance that is all that I would be receiving. Was told I would receive only the organic treatments repeatedly! Told the customer service person that I was not concerned about weeds or clover, clover puts nitrogen back into the soil. I just wanted a green organic lawn. I wasn't home for the first few applications. The 4th application I was home (8/11/11) and stopped the technician because it reaked of chemicals. This was the same technician that came out the other few times. He was unaware that it was only an organic application. All 4 times I had my lawn treated with unwanted chemicals (April - August 2011).

Sometime in May, Trevor the branch manager called and asked if I wanted a grub treatment. I asked if it was organic, he said no and I said absolutely not, I only requested organic treatments. If there was an unacceptable oversight in their computer system and my acct. wasn't originally listed as organic before May, WHY wasn't it corrected when Trevor called and spoke to me about another treatment???

The pest control company has been very good and cooperative. They are very efficient and they call before they come out. They have always taken care of spraying around the house. I don't have to spray too often myself because they do such a good job that I haven't had a bug in here. The work they do they do thoroughly. They didn't charge me one time when they trimmed the bushes because I wasn't satisfied with their work. They are responsive and usually get here sometimes before I want them. They are very punctual and professional.

No calls before showing up; fertilized over overgrown grass before lawn could be cut; constantly calling to try to get me to purchase more services; showed up to provide service after I had said NOT to; continue to call me months after I've asked them five or more times not to call.
