Please do not hire Sharpe Moving they will destroy your furniture...double your estimate....and they will not accept phone calls to fix your items! We have attorneys now working on a case against him!!

They were horrible underside the job by 6 hours. Came with a tiny truck. Never finished the work. Broke numerous pieces of furniture. Will not return my calls ?. We are getting an attorney!! Please they are scammers do not use this company. Plesse read all the reviews. Many are the same as mine!

I am only giving them a star because I have to! They deserve none! Scammers! They are unprofessional and rude! I feel like they work out of their basement. The came and did a walk through. Stated i need three men and a large truck. Said that it would cost abot $500-$575. Showed up 45 minutes late day of the move with two guys and a box truck. When i spoke to owner he was disrespectful and rude. I should have canceled then but had to get out of house due to closing. They ended up not finishing the job that day and charged me $927! The following day they were late again! Promised to wrap all furniture and TVs the half-assed hardly anything! I was on and off the phone several times with the rude owner. Had to set up details for next day... he wanted to charge me anoth $100 for travel fee, after they brought the wrong truck and only two men. Plus he wanted to charge me another few hundred! He stated that there was more to move than when they came! LMAO! I sold 1/4 of my belongings! I told him thats crazy and i didnt bring more into the house. They packed the storage unit absolutely horrible! Tossed boxes every which way! If i could post pictures here I would! All my mattresses WERE in bags and they just threw them on top handing out of the bags. I cant even beging to imagine how much of my belongings will be broken! My daughter also has a storage unit. All her belongings were in one room separated from mine. I reminded them repeatedly! In the end all her things, except her motorcycle ended up in my storage unit! They even put her motorcycle seat in my stoage unit! I hired another moving company to move me to Chicago, they saw the storage mess and apologized for some in their profession being so horrible! I can not warn you enough, stay away from this company! They under quote by $100's, which I think is a scam! You have to pay it to get your belongings so they trap you! Save yourself so much stress, money and broke belongings... do NOT hire this company!

I (we) engaged Sharpe Moving Co. of Elyria, Ohio, to provide us service for a change of residence within the City of Oberlin. This was a large job, requiring five workers over five days. Among the tasks was loading and unloading a collection of more than 12,000 books. In addition, the wonderful crew (Ray, Jay, Derrick, Carl, Matt) moved all of our furnishings, housewares, clothing, and personal belongings. The entire process was turned into a fun event with much humor and good will. The care with which the men handled all aspects of the move was most impressive. The owner and leader, Montress Sharpe is a gem, providing great rapport with the client(s) and with his crew. The office staff, Sandy and Devon, were always available and helpful. Not a single item was damaged during this long process, involving seven truckloads of items. The men were most accommodating in terms of placing items in designated locations and aided our efforts several times by changing the positions of larger pieces of furniture to meet our design. We could not have asked for a better team and a more pleasant, and safe experience. Hearty congratulations to the entire Sharpe Moving operation.

The gentlemen that showed up were very prompt and professional. They wen out of their way to ensure none of the items were damaged and did a fantastic job moving furniture through a very tight and extremely challenging 90 degree staircase.

In late March 2019, we moved from one residence to another (5 mins house to house). We received quotes after walk-through by several moving companies for cost. Sharpe Movers came in at about HALF the price of other movers... so obviously we hired them. Big mistake! PROBLEM #1: They severely underquoted the cost (possibly to get the job). They quoted us $1100 and charged us around $2000 because they underestimated hours even after walk-through. They erroneously estimated our move by about 50%. PROBLEM #2: MANY boxes that were clearly marked with location were not placed in the correct location in the house. For example, SEVERAL boxes marked “Second floor” were taken to the basement or left on the first floor or even in the garage. Boxes marked “basement” were taken to the second floor, etc... These were left for us to move to the correct locations, which was very difficult and laborious as some boxes were heavy. PROBLEM #3: Within a day of the move, our elderly mother attempted to turn on her orthopedic bed and realized it was not working. Sharpe Movers did not re-assemble it correctly (which was part of the agreement). We tried to properly re-assemble the connections and frame ourselves unfortunately to no avail, so we contacted the owner, Montress Sharpe, several times to have a mover come back out and correct the issue. Initially (twice), he replied positively, stating a timeframe that someone would come out to correct the situation. After two instances of replying but not following through, he ignored all of our further attempts to resolve the situation. Montress Sharpe was well aware due to texts and voicemails that we were unable to fix the bed issue for our 87 year old mother who needed this in order to be able to sleep comfortably in her own bed, it was terrible for her. We finally succumbed to their lack of accountability and paid someone else $50 to reconnect it properly, a loss that we incurred due to Sharpe Movers lack of accountability. PROBLEM #4: Within a week of the move, we plugged in one of several TVs that we had moved and realized immediately that it was damaged - not damage that you can see until it’s plugged in (graphics/display damage). Again, we contacted the owner several times regarding replacement of the TV. He ignored all of our texts and calls, never acknowledging fault. I witnessed firsthand at least one TV getting moved onto the truck by his movers without a moving blanket. I naively thought maybe they would blanket the TV inside the truck, now I feel they did not. The television was a brand new Smart TV, only 3 months old having just been bought Christmas 2018. This again, is a loss that we incurred due to Sharpe Movers severe lack of accountability. The movers themselves were very friendly, but in our case, the company had zero accountability when damage was done. So you will be potentially “moving without replacement or compensation” if your items, valuable or not, are damaged.

They helped me move a few large refrigerators. The movers were very accomodating.

Great no problems at all. Movers were professional and always listed to our wants and changes. Set up all furniture as we wanted it. Even rearranged so we could find the best results.
