Countywide Concrete Step Co

 Gary  Goad, had no problem getting here quick to make a sale on 6/25/2014 We loved the steps, they were put in 7/23/2014.  While putting flowers in the front, in June, I noticed where the rails are attached, there is a crack going from one side of the steps to the other side. My husband call in June and got no answer, but left a message that there is a crack on the steps. No reply. Middle of July after coming back from vacation, my husband called and talk  to their receptionist. She said that they had been on vacation and they were trying to catch up and she would give them the message. No one called us at all. Called in August and she again said that she would pass on the message but they have been very busy.  No call to us still. In August steps were now 1 years old & still no resolution. My husband called in September and the receptionist said that she would put a note on Gary's desk and mark it urgent. Still no call. My husband called yesterday 11/3/15  and answering machine came on and my husband left a message to call us and also informed them that we would be reporting this to Angie's list and I also will be contacting BBB. Still no call . We are infuriated that after 5 months of calling them , we still have had not a call back and a resolution. Their warranty says that each year  the percentage for how much they cover goes down. I guess if they ignore us totally then they don't have to cover it at all.  The steps were not even a year old when we started calling and now they are going on 1 year and 3 months. I want the steps taken care of in a timely manner, we have been more than patient and need this taken care of ASAP as winter is approaching.

Went very well.  Still looks perfect after the harsh winter.

Called for an estimate and they came out within two weeks.  From estimate to installation it was another two weeks.  Two men came out removed the old steps, installed new cement base blocks for steps to rest on and then installed the steps.  They carefully measured and leveled the installation as well as caulked exposed seams.  Very professional job.  New steps are much easier to use than old ones.  Would highly recommend.

Our experience with Countywide was exceptional all around. From accommodating a last minute request for an estimate appointment to thoroughly removing the old steps and cleaning up after the job was complete, the owner and his staff were all punctual, professional, pleasant and polite. In addition, Gary was very knowledgeable regarding the dimensions of the steps that would best suit our needs which included accessibility for an elderly parent who walks with a cane. The final result is an entryway that is both safer and more attractive than the previous one, and which undoubtedly adds curb appeal and value to the house.

Gary was very professional and punctual. He took time with me to describe the product. Unfortunately his pre-cast steps look like concrete and cannot be made to look like brick or stone. We decided to search for a stone/brick mason to do the work instead.

It went great. He did a proper clean up and it was done the same day. He was very professional and gave me a really good price, which was from years earlier.

Gary (owner) came to the property the same day I placed the call for an estimate. He was on time and prepared a detailed estimate. I gave him a deposit and the work was scheduled for the following week. The installers arrived on time and did an excellent job with removing the old concrete steps, installation and cleanup.

I was very impressed with this company. Dale was very professional and I felt very comfortable with what he had to offer and the price was right.

A first class company. All dealings were prompt and pleasant. Product is excellent and well made. Tear out was extremely difficult , the crew did not take lunch or other breaks. During tear out, there was a minor problem with the aluminum siding. Before I could call about my concerns, Gary had called and said he made arrangement to take care of the problem.

We have a brick cape cod and I was concerned that the pre-cast concrete steps might not look right. I was planning to stain the steps once they were in. However, there was no need. The steps look beautiful and, because they are the same width all the way down, make it easier to get into the house. The two gentleman who installed the steps were very polite and did a good job. My only frustration was that they couldn't tell me when they were planning to be there. They actually called on the morning of the day they were coming. As I stated, I was very concerned about the look of the precast concrete steps, but I am now very pleased. We saved approximately $1,000 by going this route instead of hiring a mason. It has worked out very well for us.

GARY WAS PUNCTUAL, POLITE AND ANSWERED ALL OUR CONCERNS. ONE SET OF STEPS WAS INSTALLED INCORRECTLY, AND WHEN ADVISED OF THIS HE HAD SOMEONE OUT WITHIN 2 DAYS TO CORRECT IT.

SLOW TO GET AN ESTIMATE, BUT A GOOD JOB DONE WHEN PROMISED. FINE CLEAN UP.

HE WAS PROMPT AND COURTEOUS ON HIS ORIGINAL VISIT AND HAD SOME GOOD SUGGESTIONS. HE WAS VERY RESPONSIVE AND PROFESSIONAL. WHEN I DID NOT CONTACT HIM TO USE HIS SERVICES, I RECEIVED A LETTER IN THE MAIL FOR FOLLOW UP. I THOUGHT THAT IT WAS A LITTLE PUSHY, BUT IT WAS OKAY OVERALL. THIS WEEK, I RECEIVED A SECOND LETTER IN THE MAIL THAT WAS A LITTLE AGGRESSIVE. I REALIZE HE IS TRYING TO GET MORE BUSINESS, BUT FEEL THAT THE SECOND LETTER IS SOMEWHAT OFFENSIVE. IT IS WRITTEN IN ALL BOLD TYPE, MOSTLY CAPITAL LETTERS AND IS SLIGHTLY DISTURBING. I APPRECIATE HIS EAGERNESS, BUT FEEL THAT THIS LETTER IS OVER THE TOP.

THE TWO INSTALLERS WERE VERY EFFICIENT AND HARD WORKING, AS OUR STEPS WERE NOT AS ACCESSIBLE TO THEIR EQUIPMENT AS I'M SURE THEY WOULD HAVE LIKED. THEY DID A GREAT JOB OF CLEANING UP AFTER THEMSELVES, AND THEY EVEN THANKED US MORE THAN ONCE FOR THE WATER WE GOT FOR THEM WHILE THEY WERE WORKING. THE NEW STEPS ARE BEAUTIFUL AND HAVE ALREADY INCREASED THE CURB APPEAL OF OUR HOUSE.

THEY WERE GREAT! THEY WERE ON TIME, THEIR PRODUCT LOOKS EXCELLENT, THEY WERE VERY NEAT AND PROFESSIONAL, AND THEY EVEN WENT OUT OF THEIR WAY AND DID A LITTLE EXTRA CLEAN UP THAT I DIDN'T EVEN ASK FOR.

ONE DAY AFTER PLACING MY CALL TO THEM, JEFF MATTERS CAME TO MEASURE AND GIVE ME AN ESTIMATE. HIS EFFICIENCY IMPRESSED ME, SO I DECIDED TO ORDER RIGHT AWAY. WITHIN 9 DAYS, MY STEPS WERE INSTALLED. I THINK THEY'RE VERY NEAT AND GOOD LOOKING, AND WILL REQUIRE NO MAINTENANCE AS THE PREVIOUS STEPS DID.

THEY HAD AN EXCELLENT PRICE COMPARED TO THE OTHER ESTIMATES WE OBTAINED. THEY DID A GREAT JOB AND WERE EASY TO WORK WITH.
