Excellent! The tree was located in a difficult-to-reach location as well as the limb on the house. Terry's team came the same day; used the proper equipment - a crane etc. His team was efficient, personable; the equipment though large in size, was managed so that you'd never know they were here; no damage to our property, tree was removed with ease and clean up was impeccable!

Great, we dealt with this company years ago at our previous residence so when we purchased another home and needed trees removed I immediately knew who I wanted to do the job. The job was done professionally at a reasonable price and no debris was left behind in our yards or in our neighbors which made our new neighbors very happy.

After being an Angie's List member for over 20 years across homes in three states and twice as many cities it is an unpleasant necessity to rate Affordable Tree Services of Ohio ("Affordable") as the first vendor who performed services for us at a rank lower than a "B". Swayed as we were with their Angie's List Certified status, 2017 Super Service Award a quick response to our text request for an estimate plus the fair price quoted - we were totally unprepared for the shockingly rude behavior of the company contact Terry, his lack of proactive communication and ultimately their leaving the requested job unfinished. When we accepted their bid on June 20th and asked when they could come out the answer was tomorrow (i.e. 21st). After we arrived home from work we saw that no visit by Affordable was done on the 21st. No one had contacted us so my wife called out to Terry late that day. It was only then that we learned our job was a small, "fill in" job. When inquiring about whether they could come out on the 23rd or 25th when one of us would be home, he made no commitment citing, for the first time, concern about softness of the lawn and their stumper unit possibly causing ruts. We accepted this reason due to rains earlier in the week just as we hoped Affordable accepted our request to be careful about a single sprinkler head at the fringe of one of the two Alberta spruce trees which we'd protected using wood planks. Needing to know in advance when Affordable planned to come out the coming week so we could check accommodation with our schedules, I sent Terry a text on the 23rd advising him we'd had no rain at our house over the past three days which helped firm up the lawn, and inquired if they'd be able to work us in on the 25th. Over the phone he restated his non-commitment to a set day and brought up again that this was a cheap job - implying it wasn't so important to Affordable. No visit or follow-up by Affordable took place on the 25th so it was lucky that my wife arranged to have the 26th off as Affordable's technician did arrive early on the 26th - although without a prior call. He was pleasant, assured my wife that the tree stumps could be removed without any issues relative to proximity to our foundation and that the one sprinkler head wasn't in the way. She told him that if he had any questions she was inside the house. When he left, the area had been cleaned up nicely with some debris left on top of where the two trees had stood. We thought the job was complete. However, when I returned home to begin planting the two replacement trees and scooped away the loose debris I was surprised/disappointed to find that neither of the stumps had been ground down or removed (see photos). My wife called Terry informing him of this status after which I followed up with text-sharing the photos as confirmation that the job had not been completed requesting his assistance in getting things finished so that the replanting could take place. What happened next went beyond anything we've ever encountered with an Angie's List or any other vendor. Terry called shortly after I'd sent the photos and instead of talking about coming back out he told me directly that he was tired of all our texts and calls about such a small job that he didn't want the job or our money. This verbal slam was followed up minutes later by a text from Terry saying: "Please don't ever call me again. Keep your money!"; actual quote including misspellings. Another minute later another text from him arrived saying our foundation was too close (...not a situation noted by the Affordable technician who removed the trees) and my wife's concern about the sprinkler head in some way affected their ability to fully remove the two stumps as was the job request they agreed to adding that: "when grinding the stump sprinkler systems are secondary it's a cheap fix!". Needless to say, this abject verbal and text messaging rudeness from Affordable was totally unacceptable as well as uncalled for. Their lack of proactive communication with us, and perhaps internal to Terry and the Affordable technician, precipitated/necessitated our reaching out to Affordable. The only reason our Overall rating is not an "F" is because Terry offered without our prompting to not collect the $200 quoted for the job. Sadly for all, we will certainly neither contact Affordable for another tree service request nor recommend them to neighbors or friends.

Terry and his crew did a great job. They cut down 4 very large trees and ground down there stumps. They came when they were suppose to and worked efficiently. They were courtesy and professional. Terry always returned my phone calls in a timely manner. He said they “don’t get paid until I am satisfied with the job”. He and his crew were very easy to work with and I was very satisfied with the job and the price. I would hire them again.

A large branch about halfway up on a ~75' oak tree came down and damaged one of the two surrounding trees in my front yard. We decided to remove all 3 trees and called around for quotes. Terry was very responsive; called me back the same evening, came out the next day, and gave me a quote over the phone. His price was one of the lowest of 5 companies we got quotes from, and he was the only one that would remove the stump grindings. When I got all my quotes, I called Terry back and agreed upon the price and schedule over the phone. Terry and his crew came out on the scheduled day at 8:30AM and worked efficiently to cut down and remove the 3 trees in one day. They also removed the debris and cleaned up the yard. They came back the next day and in a few hours ground down the stumps and removed the grindings. Overall, they did a great job and I would recommend them to anyone needing tree services.

Mr. Adams was extremely professional and demonstrated considerable knowledge as an arborist. He responded quickly to my estimate request and provided a very professional and detailed estimate via e-mail. No other arborists provided anything similar.

Things went well. The oak tree was very large and the crew did a good job handling the removal and cleanup. Will be contacting them to trim / prune the oak tree in our front yard.

The job went well, the crew was quick and efficient. I could hardly tell that 3 large machines were in the neighbor's back yard after the job was completed and they left.

Very well, efficient & tidy clean up

This was the second time we called Affordable tree to remove trees for us and we weren't disappointed. The two trees that had to be removed were behind the garage and in a tight spot but it was no problem for the crew who efficiently removed both trees without a problem. We also had multiple overgrown shrubs at our new house which his crew removed and ground the stumps out for us so we could put up a fence for our dogs and be able to have the front of the house sided. When they were done everything was cleaned up beautifully.

One of the trees was quite large and required access from a neighbor's yard for the crane and bucket trucks. The crew did an outstanding job getting the tree down and cleaning up the neighbor's yard. You could not tell they were there afterwards. The 2 stumps were ground and all debris was removed to our satisfaction.

Great. A big crew showed up and spent the entire day there. Raked and blew the entire yard when finished. Changed the entire look of the yard and made the home much safer by removing huge branches hanging over the home.

The job was performed on time and at no extra cost. The crew did an above average job of clean-up.

Showed up at 8:00 am and worked hard all day long.  Very conscientious workers and everything was done as expected.  Even trimmed up some extra trees at N/C.  Would definitely use again if needed in the future.
