Guth Constructions

We contacted Ryan Guth from Guth Construction and he agreed to come out and talk to us no problem at all. He arrived to see the damage as agreed and worked with our adjustor. Since we were not going to be home in August, we agreed to start the work in September. That's when it started going south. No contract was ever given to us to sign, he would tell us they would be out to start work and nobody would show up. When I called him he would not answer his phone and then later he said he never got the call...even though I left a message. Continually apologized but never improved on punctuality. Work was to be done by the end of October however it was not finished until just before Thanksgiving. I could not put my house back together for my holiday until it was done. Constant communications problems. He sent someone he knew but did not work for him to do our very expensive vinyl stone siding job. Now we have a problem with bowing and bulging when it gets hot outside and I contacted him and let him know that we have time constraints on getting this fixed and now he is not returning my messages at all. New windows on the front enclosed porch started leaking water when it rained. He sent someone out three times and all they did was caulk it. Finally I asked him to come out and see it and he did and we finally got it fixed because instead of the sill slanting down and out, it was installed so that the water ran inside. He told me he hoped it was fixed because he didn't want to drive all the way out to our house anymore. All in all...it was a nightmare...weeks went by at a time with no word from him and many times I thought he had left town or something. I will say the job got done, but that's all I'm saying good about it. It was a nightmare for me. I finally went to the company where we bought the siding and asked them to give me the names of a reputable contractor and I have contacted them to fix my siding problem.
