Jim and his team truly are special. They arrived on time, were as neat as possible and a pleasure to work with. Jim is not just a painter, he is an artist. My lower kitchen cabinets needed refinishing and he made an exact match to the upper cabinets. They look like new again. Elsewhere, painted woodwork and wainscoting were perfectly outlined. He also pointed out some areas he could repair and did. I am very pleased with the work done here and will be using them again in the near future.

Special Touch is just what the title says, they are Special! They do excellent work, they were on time, professional, respectful, hard workers and they went above and beyond what they came to do. I was extremely pleased with their work, Jim looked at this job like he was doing it for himself. They did repair work on the cracks in my ceiling as well as on my walls and you would never know that there was any repair done. He fixed a few things for me that wasn't even on the list, he was just fabulous. I would definitely call on them again. Do not be afraid to use them, they are worth every penny!

Mr. Abrams and his assistant arrived on time each day.  A professional and proficient job was performed throughout the duration of completing the job.  They properly saw that furniture was moved and covered to provide protection from newly painted areas. They showed a genuine desire to see that we were totally pleased with their efforts - and we were!

Great experience and I highly recommend Jim Abrams.  Jim was punctual for the initial appointment and followed up quickly with the estimate.  Jim and worker/nephew were very courteous and did a beautiful job.  There was a lot of prep work involved and you would never guess there had been many holes in the walls and dog-clawed woodwork.  They took their time and paid attention to detail.  The wallpaper came out perfect.  They were very accommodating and if they were not sure of something, they always asked rather than guessed.  I am VERY pleased with the job they did and glad that I hired them!

Set up appointment to receive estimate. When he didn't show (or call) after one half hour, I called him and he said he just got off work and could be over in about an hour or he could come tomorrow. I declined both and decided to go with another provider. A lack of punctuality (without even a call) is a indication of his dedication to a quality customer experience.

Jim was on time, meticulous, professional and his work is impeccable! This was the second time using this company.

Excellent. It was a 2 man job over a 2 day period (total 22 man hours - approx.). Mr. Abrams came out to look at the job on Mon.; explained everything that would be done; provided a written estimate and offered me time that same week (next 2 days). He and his partner were prompt, courteous, and very professional. They were efficient in completing the tasks within the designated timeframe  and very sensitive  to clean up details. I was very pleased with the results and the experience.

He did a great job painting my walls. He was very reasonable and works on his own with his brother. They did a beautiful job and did excellent work!

We located three painting contractors on Angie's List and obtained estimates from each of them. We didn't use any of the three because all had estimates which we felt were far out of line with the prices we had paid previously for painting in our home. But, of the three contractors, Special Touch Decorating was by far the most overpriced. They gave us a price of $850 to "repair" and paint the ceiling, doors, walls, and closet in a single 12 X 14 foot bedroom. We eventually had the painting done professionally for $285 (one third of Special Touch's estimate), which included materials (two coats of Sherwin Williams paint).

if you want quality workmanship in your home i highly recommend jim abrams and his brother,very professional from start to finish,you can leave him in your home and have no worries,go about your day,did a fabulous stone faux finish above my fireplace that will be a focal point in the main living area,also grained doors to match woodwork,very artistic individual,will tak,e time and work with your needs,great job!

Jim has been doing work for me for years. This time we ran into some major problems due to his employee that did much of the painting in the master bedroom. Here were the problems: Room turned out splotchy all over, area by trim base was not masked off and was wavy and uneven, base trim had lumps and bumps, many of the nail holes were showing, touch-up in closet near base trim uneven - was not masked off, I had to clean off window and sliding door as it had bits of wallpaper and liquid on it, some paint was on my new wood floor. This job was horrendous!! The grade on this job would be a D-. Jim being the professional he is came back and corrected all of the above as he wanted to make me happy. The job he did was excellent and beautiful. Because of this I am giving him an A rating. The lesson learned here is to be very hands-on with your employees as their work is a direct reflection on your company. I will only hire this company again if Jim does the work ONLY!!
