They didn't tear up all the grass, but they leveled the yard and seeded it. They said it was good seed, but the lawn grew in with huge weeds and was patchy. The original estimate was for $900, but he billed me almost double the estimate, $1782. My sister was dying in the hospital at the time and we had a lot going on, so I just paid him because I thought that maybe he had done extra work and not told us. He promised to provide an itemized receipt, but never did. I called him 2 or 3 times a week from June - August to let him know about the problems with the lawn and the weeds, but he never returned a call and never came back to check. He never answered, but I always left messages. He finally did return a call after threatening to report him to the BBB, but he still didn't come out even though he said he would. He replied to my BBB complaint by letter saying that he came to our house on two separate occasions to tell us we weren't watering enough, which was a total lie. I also complained with Joe Pagonakis (Chanell 5 consumer reporter), then, Kenson sent a man to my house without informing me, and he was applying some sort of treatement to my lawn. I asked him to leave my property and threatened to call the police, taking the hose out of his hand. He took his cell and called Kenson, who told him to leave. He told Kenson he couldn't leave, because I had the hose, then he hung up his phone, put his hands around my neck and pushed me halfway across my lawn backwards. Here's a 55yr old guy pushing around a 79yr old lady, which I thought was pretty lousy. My neighbors even witnessed this. I did file a police report about this incident. It was a horrible experience and I hope no one has to go through anything like this. The men that were out here working initially, seemed to be nice guys, but Kenson and his foreman are liars and his foreman is scared silly of him.
