Scott literally came to our rescue. We are in the midst of the covid 19 pandemic and our hot water heater breaks. He answered the phone at 9pm and came out to see us the next day. We didnt know our entire water heater would need replaced...Scott was compassionate and helped us every step of the way. It is truly amazing to experience such kindness at a time when everyone is in fear of what might happen next. Thank you for your service but most of all thank you for showing us that our need and safety as a family outweighed the needs of big business.

Appointment was for 8am showed up at 8:30am. Was there for an hour and charged us $600.00 for 15-20 minutes of water jetting to clear an "obstruction" that was the start of the pipe not an "obstruction".
Response from Campbell Plumbing & Drain Cleaning

"Thank you for your comments about the recent work. Our first appointment is always between 8am-8:30am, I assure you that you were our first stop after we left the shop. After we arrived, your wife showed us the issues inside the house, then we went outside the home to see if there was an obvious issue with grading or gutter work. Once we saw there was no visible signs of any outside issues we prepared to move inside. We started at the sump pump. We explained to your wife that we would start with a sewer camera and see what we could see and then go from there, service #1. Once we camera’d over to the effected area we saw a very large obstruction on the monitor. We tried to push through it with the camera but it was very hard. We then showed your wife what we saw on camera. We explained that this obstruction could be the beginning of your footer drain or a blockage. We then used our Locater, service #2, in attempts to find if the location was an obstruction or if this was the start of your footer drain. Your footer should start next to the garage wall. If this was next to the garage wall this would indicate that it was truly the beginning, but in your case it’s wasn’t near the garage wall. It was in the middle of the room near your main support beam. We suggested that we can snake the drain and see what happens, service #3, no success with the snake. Then we tried another type of machine called a Flexshaft, no success, service #4. We then explained to your wife that we have done everything we could and the last resort would be to use a hydrojetter. Her comments was “please do whatever you need to do, we need to make our basement stop leaking”. We then set up to jet, service #5. We jetted the line several times until we had a clearer view of what was happening inside the pipes. We then showed your wife on camera what we learned. We learned that the footer drain was capped off at the location of the obstruction. We then texted your wife the picture so he could share them with you. We explained that the footer was indeed open and flowing. While we were cleaning up we were asked to camera the other side of the drain. We camera’d the other side of the drain and reported what we saw. We saw typical Heisley Park iron build up on the base of the pipe. This is very typical for this area due to the house being built on a “wet” area. We charge per service, just as if you were to order two items at a restaurant, you would be charged for two items. In your case, we decided, due to the limited use of each item we simply charge you for jetting and no other services. As you can see we tried to be as economical as possible and keep the customer in mind with our reasonable approach to help you."

I had tried numerous things to fix it myself, but nothing worked. Scott got here, looked at my toilet, made some adjustments and it was fixed ! He stayed around to make certain it was working and did not charge me nothing. He told me it was an easy fix and would appreciate if I would use them again in the future and recommend them to my co workers and friends. I will definitely use Campbell plumbing for any future needs. He was honest, respectful and all around a nice person. I would highly recommend !

The gentleman arrived on time. They were courteous and professional. They were very thorough and kept working on the problem. They came back when I noticed a small problem, and did so within the same day. My only concern is... they were very expensive for me. It has put me back quite a bit for anything else that I needed to get work on.

I was given a 2 hour window for when a plumber would arrive. After 3 hours passed, I called and was told that he was running late and would be another half an hour. I can understand a job taking longer than expected, but it would have been courteous of him to call and let me know. The job involved about 10 minutes of actual labor and the valve probably cost less than $10. My bill was $85 for the service call and $165 for the part and labor, totaling $250.

Campbell was great. My basement floor drain was backing up. I called in the evening and my call was answered right away, service was scheduled for the next day and they called 30 min before arriving to give me time to get home from work to meet them. I know very little about plumbing, so I really appreciated them taking the time to explain things to me. The work was high quality, and they answered questions about other plumbing work that I’ll eventually need to have completed without pressuring me to make an immediate decision. I will definitely use Campbell again in the future.

I am in a transition of moving and got 2 toilets need to be installed. I called Campbell and they are very prompt. It is my fault that had my scheduling messed up and had to cancel the appointment twice which I feel truly sorry! They’ve been very patient and tried everything to meet my scheduling request. Although I haven’t got the project done yet, I still highly recommend them and will have my next small project scheduled with them.

I noticed a leak under one of my toilets that was leaking through to the unfinished part of basement. I called them and they did come out, however the leak did not show when they arrived. Vince told me to call them as soon as it starts the leak again. Which I did and we were able to schedule the fix 2 days later. Vince and Justin arrived and remove the toilet and notice the flange was below the flooring. Also the wax ring didn't have a horn on it. They replaced it with an enlarged wax ring with a horn as well as a small one. After this the leak stopped. At this time I informed them that more than likely the other 3 toilets would have this same issue over time. As a precaution, I had them come back 2 days after to replace the wax rings on the other toilets. They were nice enough to charge me a discounted rate of one visit rather than 2 separate visits.

initially called out as kitchen sink was backing up. the house is old, turn of the century, no available cleanout. Using a jetter they attempted to flush line from the street but they got their tool head stuck in the sewer line. They claimed it was not their responsibility as the home had faulty sewer line so I as the customer was responsible for retrieval. That was $3000. Tool retrieved but the problem was not fixed. For $3500 more they excavated, placed a sewer line cleanout in the backyard and jetted the sewer line. While the crew was friendly and pleasant, they left tractor marks in the backyard where the backhoe was, debris and rocks from excavating, mud all over the walk. They also turfed my yard backing their trucks out. None of that was cleaned up. no boards were placed down under the backhoe. No attempt to at least repair with some dirt their turf marks. Big mess for me to clean up. While the work was solid and the workers were pleasant, I was not happy with the way they tore up the lawn and just left it. I also am not so sure about the claim that if a professional plumber gets his tool stuck in your sewer line which he agreed to examine as a professional, the customer is responsible for the retrieval of the tool. Doesn't seem right

I was looking into switching my 25 year old electric hot water heater to gas. Power venting a gas water heater a long distance was going to add significantly to the install cost. So the people from Campbell's recommended staying with an electric heater because the payback from monthly savings to operate a gas heater wasn't worth the initial install expense. Which means they're looking to do the job the way that makes the best sense. Honest advice. Good first impression. They were experienced and knew what they were talking about. I'll call them again.

Vince was very knowledgeable and professional. We had an issue with water hammer. Water hammer arrestors were installed on the washing machine. Vince then tested to make sure that there were no additional issues with water hammer sounds. Vince took the time to do a thorough job and make sure that the problem was resolved. The entire project took under one hour. The labor fee of $85 was very reasonable. However, based on my understanding of the parts needed, the $250 fee for parts was very high. The cost to purchase the parts on my own would have been approximately $50. I do not mind paying extra for excellent service, which I did receive, but I thought the markup on the parts was excessive.
