"Thank you for your comments about the recent work. Our first appointment is always between 8am-8:30am, I assure you that you were our first stop after we left the shop. After we arrived, your wife showed us the issues inside the house, then we went outside the home to see if there was an obvious issue with grading or gutter work. Once we saw there was no visible signs of any outside issues we prepared to move inside. We started at the sump pump. We explained to your wife that we would start with a sewer camera and see what we could see and then go from there, service #1. Once we camera’d over to the effected area we saw a very large obstruction on the monitor. We tried to push through it with the camera but it was very hard. We then showed your wife what we saw on camera. We explained that this obstruction could be the beginning of your footer drain or a blockage. We then used our Locater, service #2, in attempts to find if the location was an obstruction or if this was the start of your footer drain. Your footer should start next to the garage wall. If this was next to the garage wall this would indicate that it was truly the beginning, but in your case it’s wasn’t near the garage wall. It was in the middle of the room near your main support beam. We suggested that we can snake the drain and see what happens, service #3, no success with the snake. Then we tried another type of machine called a Flexshaft, no success, service #4. We then explained to your wife that we have done everything we could and the last resort would be to use a hydrojetter. Her comments was “please do whatever you need to do, we need to make our basement stop leaking”. We then set up to jet, service #5. We jetted the line several times until we had a clearer view of what was happening inside the pipes. We then showed your wife on camera what we learned. We learned that the footer drain was capped off at the location of the obstruction. We then texted your wife the picture so he could share them with you. We explained that the footer was indeed open and flowing. While we were cleaning up we were asked to camera the other side of the drain. We camera’d the other side of the drain and reported what we saw. We saw typical Heisley Park iron build up on the base of the pipe. This is very typical for this area due to the house being built on a “wet” area. We charge per service, just as if you were to order two items at a restaurant, you would be charged for two items. In your case, we decided, due to the limited use of each item we simply charge you for jetting and no other services. As you can see we tried to be as economical as possible and keep the customer in mind with our reasonable approach to help you."
