PetSmart - Dublin Ohio

We (including our dog) got a lot our of Todd's class. He's patient with both the dogs and their owners. This is true training, not puppy socialization. The dogs learn to socialize under control, not randomly jumping on each other as other programs do. Todd works on the basic skills (in the Beginner Class) that help to develop the owner's ability to control the dog, in a fun way. It's very apparent he loves his job. When he sees a dog make a break-through (i.e. there was a greyhound that initially was afraid of men and then was very social with everyone after six weeks), he rewards that dog over and over. If someone is looking for a solid beginner's class, we highly recommend Todd at Petsmart in Dublin.

We were checked in as soon as we arrived and my dog was happy to be there. The service was completed when promised.

It went very well I got a discount for being a senior.

I get my pet groomed at PetSmart. I'd give them an A overall, but on the price I would probably move that to like a B because most of the reason I go there is convenience, not so much the price.

They try to charge a little bit more for different stuff and then when they were done, they didn't do a good job on the stuff they needed to do but they were nice. I don't know if I'll use them again, they are kind of expensive

We usually go to Pet Smart for our animal grooming.  We were there February of 2017.  It was for Maggy, our older dog.  They got us in really quickly.  When Maggy gets groomed they nearly shave her.  We have used them for years.  They've always done a very good job for our long haired dogs.  We've had 3 long haired dogs here recently and they have done an excellent job.  They have treated our Prince really nice, which is what I like.

They have always done a very good job with our long hair dogs and treat our pets very well.

We started taking him once a year and twice a year when he sheds. Grooming is excellent. What they do that is good is first of all, he looks great, and he doesn’t shed after we groom him.

The tech who groomed my Yorkie did an awful job which was shocking because I always use PetSmart. I'd never had a problem before. I called the manager and met with him later that day. He was wonderful. He listened to me and was very very understanding. Because he handled my problem so well I will continue to use them. I wish I remembered his name because he should be recognized for his outstanding customer service. If I can get his name I will update this post.

When our our dog came out she was placed on a table and a leash hooked to a pole that looked like an hospital I.V. pole. She wiggled a bit. When the groomer started clipping her nails she squirmed extensively and the more or less laid on her to hold her. They then got a Dremel like tool to sand her nails. The noise and uneasiness made her really squirm and she turned around and DANGLED FROM THE POLE. The groomer grabbed her. She then got two others to do her paws as one held the pole and dog and the other did her nails. Then they left her alone without anyone watching - AGAIN SHE DANGLED HANGING HERSELF. The groomer came over and attached a second leash. She starting trimming with the razor and AGAIN SHE DANGLED HANGING HERSELF. MY CHILDREN AND I WATCHED UNTIL I WENT IN AND DEMANDED OUR DOG. The groomer and her other groomers all said we should not have come on such a busy day. THEY BLAMED US FOR HANGING OUR DOG. THE DOG WAS BADLY BRUISED AND HAD A CUT UNDER HER STOMACH FROM THE LEASH. WE HAD TO TAKE HER TO OUR VET TO GET HER SOME PAIN MEDICINE AS SHE YELPED WHEN TRYING TO SIT.
The manager was made fully aware of the situation. HE ALSO SAID WE SHOULD HAVE COME ON A LESS BUSY DAY. I paid for what I had done, $39 for bath, nails and partial trim. He did call the next day to say we were entitled to a refund for being dissatisfied. He would not refund our credit card unless we came back. IT IS GOOD HE GOT A CLUE LATER, HOWEVER THIS IS A CLEAR REFLECTION OF THE LACK OF MANAGEMENT.
I WILL NEVER STEP FOOT IN THAT STORE AGAIN. I HAVE A LASTING IMAGE OF MY DOG HANGING AND AN UNBELIEVABLE RESPONSE THAT IT WAS MY FAULT. FRIGHTENING! JUST FRIGHTENING!

They're very good! We have cats, but we noticed the grooming place there does a beautiful job grooming the dogs! They also have cats that you can adopt and they take them from all different shelters and they really have a good selection of nice cats there!

We go there for food and toys. They always have what we need, their employees know what they are doing.

The service turned out well.

The dogs looked great and they were treated very well during the visit.

I have had my dog groomed by Mary on several occasions. She always does an excellent job and our dog gets a beautiful trim. The service is always prompt.

I gave directions on how I wanted the dogs to look, one came out fine, other did not, looked nothing like he usually does when went to regular groomer. (My regular groomer couldn't work them in, so used PetsMart b/c they could accommodate an appt right away). Also had concerns w/how my dogs were handled, one of the woman in there grooming a dog on the table when I went to pick them up was very gruff and not gentle w/the dog she was grooming. That dog wasn't being aggressive, was just nervous and she was very impatient and gruff with it. Witnessing that gave me a bad feel about its the luck of the draw if you get someone that wants to be there, likes animals and what they're doing. My one dog also ended up w/an ear infection right afterward (she'd never had one before) could have been coincide, but my vet said it could be if she had a lot of running H20 go into her ear at a grooming session. And my other dog had several scabs in and around his ears from them nicking him (he's been groomed for 7 years and never had that happen. He's not aggressive). The staff at the register I dealt w/was friendly and attentive, but it was more I just didn't feel comfortable or assured they were in good, loving care and that my wishes for their style would be able to be attained, because they are so many different groomers; you don't know who you'll get.

They recently remodeled the store and it looks great! Mary always does such a good job in grooming our pets.

We had a great experience. Our trainer, Adam, was great. He was helpful and professional (and firm when needed). My dog definitely progressed and we are planning on taking the "intermediate" class from Adam.

I had been going there for a while, and I was always happy. This time was a new person. For whatever reason, she said my dog snipped at her. My dog is an older dog, and has never had problems in the past. They told me I could not bring her back. In the future, I will make sure that whoever works on my dog has experience with older dogs.

When I showed up there was no record of my appointment (even though I had made it the day before.) Then they acted like they were doing me a favor by working my dog into their schedule. Then the groomer complained about my dog (and I have never heard complaints about her before.) The trim was satisfactory but I was very uncomfortable with their lack of professionalism and I would never leave my dog in their care again.
