Founded by Dublin Scioto and OSU alum, Chris Apfelstadt, Light Up Columbus is 100% focused on Lighting 365 days a year. We specialize in Landscape Lighting, Holiday Lighting, Architectural Lighting, and Event Lighting. Based in Dublin, we have been serving Central Ohio for 13 years. We work with the City of Dublin, the City of Columbus, the Blue Jackets, and many other hospitals, restaurants, nursing homes, and local businesses. Most importantly we have worked with hundreds of local homeowners to make their homes shine. Landscape lighting adds curb appeal, raises home values, and increases security and we love the work we do.

We have known, Chris, the owner for many years. He started as a house painter and we used him many times to paint our house. He now hangs our outside Christmas lights every year. He also takes them down and stores them for the next year. He is very friendly, easy to talk to, and always very professional. We had our lights cut one year and he came out as soon as we called him and made the repair. If we would need landscape lighting, he is the only person we would call.

Light Up Columbus installed lighting for my Columbus, OH Wedding. Chris was very easy to work with. He was flexible and worked with us to create the environment I had envisioned. We contracted with Light Up Columbus to provide landscape/accent lighting to the front of our home. They did a preliminary site visit to discuss our thoughts and took picures of the house. They then provided a detailed presentation of their proposal. We proceeded with the work after some changes to better fit our budget. Chris and his crew did a fantastic job with the install and returned several times to make sure the lights were aimed properly. I hightly recommend Light Up Columbus and look forward to working with them with Christmas lighting.

I highly recommend Light Up Columbus. Chris was prompt to respond and quick to schedule a time to stop by. The landscape light we had an issue with was not one that Chris generally deals with, but he got a new one ordered, received and installed within a week. Great customer service and would definitely call Chris again.

Chris was exceptionally helpful in recommending options to addressing my landscape lighting issues. I had several broken fixtures and I needed a few new ones as well. Chris addressed everything including readjusting all the locations to ensure we had maximum coverage.

We shared a vision, gave little to no direction and it was executed beautifully. The work performed by LightUp was the talk of the agency. To top it off, clients reached out to us about the display, the lights were featured on the local news and our team was heart warmed to be in a space surrounded by rainbow windows!
