Ed did a great job. He is a skilled arborist who is very knowledgeable and professional, and who performs his trimming in a manner that is best for the health of your trees and shrubs. He took his time and concluded with a very thorough clean up of my landscaping and yard. In reducing the tops of my arborvitae privacy wall, he went beyond my expectations by giving the top of each a very professional shape. I was very happy with the appearance. Ed was on time, and as always did a great job. When he worked on our trees about 5 years ago, he told us we were going to lose the Norway Maple because the roots were girdling the tree, and it was too far gone to save. We put it off, since the tree blocks the western sun in the summer time, but finally had to go ahead and have it removed as the top was dying out. On the same visit, Ed pruned the Honey Locust and Pin Oak. Ed does a great job, and we are happy that we have found him to take care of our trees. He is on time, friendly, and charges a fair price. He has good, well maintained equipment, and he works very safely. Note: Ed is a certified arborist, not just a tree service. This gives us a lot of confidence. We plan to have him continue to work with us to keep our trees healthy.

Ed Parker, came out on a Saturday to provide me a quote to chip quite a bit of Honeysuckle branches I had cut previously.  Ed had cut down some 7 Ash trees for me previously and disposed of the wood accordingly and I was quite pleased with his effort during that task.  Ed showed up right on time and reviewed the amount of debris I desired to have chipped back into the treeline.  He shared a price if he were to do the job himself and a price IF I were to assist him in the effort, which I had volunteered to do so previously.  He said he had that Saturday afternoon available and if I wished to do so, he could return with his chipper and we could probably take care of the job by the end of the day.  He left to return promptly with the chipper and equipment to move the chipper along with chain saws and we both worked from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm (into the night) to get the job done.  I was very pleased with his timeliness in providing the estimate, pricing, ability to do the job right away because he commonly has quite a bit of backlog and his willingness to complete the job that day, which was a very unusual circumstance.  He wanted to rake the yard afterwards, which I shared with him the job we completed was more than enough for all his time and effort demonstrated and I would rake the yard, which really was not in that bad of a debris.  I was thrilled to have the amount of debris in the side yard removed.  If I had had the debris removed as opposed to chipped it possibly would have taken less time but I am sure would have cost much much more to do so.  Ed is a one person company but is very fair in his pricing, considerate in the results provided and punctual in his time of arrival.

Ed has done work for me for at least three years.  Always professional and thorough. The Weeping Cherry was near the house and getting out of hand.  Last year Ed talked me into crowning it and keeping it.  He doesn't like to take down a healthy tree unless he has to. After a year, I decided the tree was too large for it's location and we agreed t it had to go, along with a dogwood that was also planted too close to the house by the previous owners. When he completed the job, the yard was clean and other than a hardly noticeable stump, you would not know the trees were ever there.
I then ask Ed to recommend a candidate for replacement. He provided 5 good alternatives. Since it was going on December, I was not ready to put another tree in immediately, but on searching for a tree this spring I did rely on Ed's advice and now have a promising Dogwood in place of the Cherry.
In the past, Ed has trimmed limbs back from the power lines coming into the house, crowned and thinned other trees including Ash, Magnolia, Locus, Oak, and of course the Weeping Cherry.  I have always been satisfied with his work and will call him in the future as needed.

Ed has done work for us three times now. He is always on time and does a great job.

Ed pruned several trees, removed a large diseased ash tree, and chemically treated a second diseased ash tree. The prices were very reasonable. I was very pleased with the quality of the work and the clean-up. Ed is also very professional and knowledgeable. Highly recommended.
