 + -1 moreJim Martin was supposed to finish my entire basement in 2008. He was significantly late in his timeframe to complete this job and then not only was he late, he walked off the job and never finished the job. Totally dishonest. I have never had a contractor walk off the job, but he did.
Description of Work: Jim Martin was supposed to finish my entire basement in 2008. He did some work but never finished. He was unprofessional and uncooperative. He was supposed to complete an unfinished basement.

 + 9 moreI WOULD NEVER HIRE HIM AGAIN NOR RECOMMEND HIM TO ANYONE ELSE THAT WOULD EVEN CONSIDER USING HIM NO MATTER HOW LOW HE MAY BID YOUR BASEMENT FOR YOU !!!! IF YOU CHOSE TO USE HIM...GOOD LUCK AND HOPE YOU HAVE A GOOD ATTORNEY.. He told us that it would take approximately 3-5 weeks to finish our basement. We signed our contract in February 2007 and he started March 19, 2007, thus putting us at April 16, 2007 to have our basement completed. 4 deadlines later and we still did not have our basement finished. Out of 126 days that he was working on our basement, he only showed up 57 days. July 22, 2007, Jim Martin informed us that he is not going to finish our basement. Even though we were in contract. We had to hire another person to come in and not only complete his work but also to fix his work.
Description of Work: Jim Martin was supposed to have completed our unfinished basement to a finished basement providing everything from painting the dry-lock on our basement, framing, wiring, cable, phone, plumbing, drywall, painting, carpeting, doors and baseboards, everything that you would need to complete a basement.
