+ -1 moreI really loved Dr. Boyles and appreciated her willingness to fit me in as I was having issues. She is extremely punctual, friendly, and never makes you feel like you need to rush as she has something more important to do. She really listens and took the time to go over everythign I had questions about. I would recommend her to anyone lookign for a good OBGYN.
Description of Work: My General Practitioner had always taken care of my annual pelvic exams so when she moved to Fl I needed to find an OBGYN. I asked friends and Dr. Melissa Boyles came up several times and eveyone seemed to have good experiences. I made an appt and was able to get in very quickly as I was having some issues. Everyone in the office was wonderful and really sweet. I had to have a biopsy done of my uterus along with my annual exam and even though it was painful she talked me through it all and made it as comfortable as she could.

+ -1 moreHad an episode of random bleeding that would not stop for weeks. Was never able to talk to the Dr. Missy, only her nurse. Went for an ultrasound and had to call the office two weeks later after I had not heard the results. Just went for my annual found out there was an issue from my episodes. Dr. Missy gave another 'script and was out the door. Did not answer my questions, and if it had not been for my annual I wouldn't have known there was an issue. Not impressed with her lack of availability or communication. Will not be returning to her practice. Also, have had two friends use her for obstetric, both negative experiences. Sent an intern to see one friend, who was bleeding our post birth.
Description of Work: Annual Exam and other issues not realted to pregnancy.

+ -1 moreWell, initially I wasn't too happy. I went in to see this doctor for the very first time and she was called away to do a baby delivery before she entered the examination room. I was asked if I'd rather come back or see the nurse practitioner. I had some major concerns, so I asked to come back. Then I was told that if I saw the nurse practitioner that the doctor would call me at home to answer my questions, so I agreed. The doctor never did call. I spoke to a nurse several weeks later and expressed my discontent and the nurse was of the opinion that I had already gotten my questions answered. I was scheduled for a procedure a month later and was able to meet the doctor for the first time and ask my questions at that time. I did like the doctor once I met her and was able to speak to her about my medical concerns.
Description of Work: I saw this doctor for the first time because my former OB/GYN retired. I was referred to Dr. Boyles by my former doctor. I saw her for my annual check-up and to discuss several issues.

Description of Work: I was a patient of Melissa Boyles for over 10 years. Everything was fine until my first pregnancy. It was discovered at 22 weeks that our child had anencephaly which is fatal. We had no choice but to end our pregnancy. Dr Boyles wanted nothing to do with us once we were told the news by the specialist. Our care was dumped into the hands of a doctor we had never met or heard anything about. She completely abandoned our care and left us with nobody to answer our questions. Having other friends that went to this practice I knew it was their policy to send cards to ladies who had miscarried. One month passed and I still had never heard any follow up from Dr. Boyles. I decided to call her office and I asked where my card was and why she abandoned our care. Her nurse responded that it was not office policy for the doctor to send cards to ladies that terminated their pregnancy. We did not willingly terminate our pregnancy. Our baby did not develop a skull and would have never lived. I trusted myself to this doctor for 10 years and when I really needed her she abandoned my care. While our family has moved on, 2 beautiful children later, the scars of this event have never gone away. It is difficult for me to be able to trust any doctors after this event. I have extreme anxiety and outright panic attacks at hospitals and even routine physical exams. Please dont put something as important as the birth of a baby into the hands of this office.
