"The mower deck was not set too low. I explained to them that the lawn had many depressions in it from previous stump removal over the years. There was probably only two or three areas that were ever scalped and I reseeded them within a week or two of the damage. The damage in question happened during the first few visits when I had no idea where the depressions were. In lawn mowing you unfortunately have to find out the hard way where you can and cannot run a large mower over. I explained this to her with a "Sorry about that" in front of my explanation. If they reseeded their "entire lawn" for 2 or 3 scalped marks then that has nothing to do with me. Sometimes when you come across sour customers they go out of their way to damage your reputation. Super disappointed to have read her remarks today."
We used Mike last year and he was wonderful! He came each week, like clock work, did a great job and sent a bill at the end of the month. I didn?t have to think about it, plan it, and/or coordinate it---he just does his job and makes life easier for you. I priced other companies and Mike?s price was very competitive. Sadly my work hours have been reduced and with that, we have to cut back. We wont be using Mike this year and it makes me very sad. I now get to do it myself or ask (nag) the husband. Don?t hesitate to call/use Mike---he is great!
"Surprised to read this report... it has been 2 years since I have worked on this property and the report was posted in January of 2011. Just some clarification to some of the points this customer has made. The price per mowing was $30 not $40 and I never missed a scheduled visit. I mowed this property from 4/24/08 to 11/22/08 and never worked on the property in the year 2007. The work that I informed the customer she could do herself was simply spraying the few weeds that her flower beds had by purchasing a gallon of some Ortho Grass Friendly weed control spray, that would have taken care of her needs for the rest of the season. My charge for that service would have been a $40 minimum per application and I felt that it was an unnecessary expense to charge a customer when there was so little work to be done, I was just trying to be honest."
