Larry Sherrets

He was 3 weeks late starting. All of the trim around EVERY window is crooked so my husband and I are going to have to use spackle to fill in the cracks before we paint it. They pieced together big, medium and small pieces of wood for the interior walls, and we are going to have to use spackle to fill the gaps between the pieces of wood also before we paint. Larry has refused so far to correct any of his mistakes. There are dents in the wood everywhere where they completely missed the nail and slammed into the wood.My husband already repaired the back door because Larry put a 10 inch crack on the inside by the door knob, told my husband that it came that way and that we would just have to deal with it, so my husband pryed it apart a little and poured some liquid cement in it, then put a C clamp on it till it dried.So far they have only shown up for work 2 days and now they are taking 4 days off for Labor day weekend.We have been working,(trying to), to fix his mistakes but it's really hard because we are both disabled veterans and we tire easily.The only reason we hired him was because there's not a lot of contractors in our area and he was the only one in the phone book.I was being nice rating him a "D", not only should he be an "F", but I hope I never see him again.We will be working for at least 3 weeks after Larry leaves, just repairing his mistakes and cleaning up after him and we don't even know when he'll be done because he still doesn't have all of his supplies here. Only 1/2 our windows are trimmed and then he ran out of trim.We used to have a nice open porch. Now it's an eye-sore not fit for a dog house.I sincerely hope that I have or will help someone out there who may be looking for a contractor in my area. If his name is somehow mentioned to you, run.
