Custom Wood Design

Overall it did not go well.

1. The new cabinet he made for the kitchen does not match up to the existing cabinetry, it is not a flush fit and I can see wood in the back. Additoinally, the caulking work is not very good.  It seems to be cracking and falling out.  It is a yellowish color, so it doesn't match the white paint.  He left in the old caulking and just caulked over it.  

2. The shelf is fine but it did get wet from a previous leak which has since been resolved.  I am updating this #2 section as of 10/31/16.  When Van Harmon installed the new bottom shelf underneath the kitchen sink, he did not connect the sink drain to the sewer.  I would like Van to come and fix this.

3. He did ultimately resolve the plumbing issue in the kitchen but did not fix the problem in the bathroom.  

4. The cabinet hanging went well.

5. When he was working on the bathroom cabinet I was upstairs.  I heard a loud crash and later asked about it but he said he didn't remember what had happened, and its still unclear what the noise was.  Also, he didn't caulk the bathroom cabinet well either.  The sink and faucet are leaking at this point.

6. The shelving installation went well.

7. The dimmer switch does not work anymore, it merely turns on and off with no dimming function.  additionally, the dimmer switch plate is dented, I think he just tightened the screw too much.  

8. He was able to get the dining room light fixture working properly as well as the new dimmer switch.

9. After he worked on figuring out the switches and circuit breaker panels, I found that the lights in my extra outside refrigerator weren't working but it was still cold so I didn't think anything about it at the time.  Later I realized the refrigerator had been turned off and the food inside it was ruined.  I asked for  reimbursement for the food but he refused.
