Furnace stopped working and requested a service call. Tech showed up dirty and was very unprofessional, I’d even go so far as to say he was rude. Said that the roads were slick and that he should’ve called us to say that we were “**** outta luck” instead of making the trip out. Charged us $120 to tell us that we needed a new furnace and then didn’t reply at all after that. Knowing that we had been without heat for days, left us cold and waiting for a callback about a new furnace for two additional days - we finally called a reputable company to install for us. We are good to go, no thanks to Ron’s Heating & Cooling.

"We did speak with there friend the furnace man that said he worked on the unit all weekend and gave him the model and serial numbers he requested. Called him back after I got the prices on the new heat exchanger and he said the company that he works for was replacing the furnace. I have addressed the dress apparel and cleanliness of our employees this will not happen again. I hope your new furnace gives you many years of comfort for you and your family!"

Ok. No way of telling if ducts were good and clean when done. Wish they could show pics from inside duct after cleaning. Not sure if feasible.

I knew that it was going to cost me a lot of money.  I called Ron Milburn up the next day and told him that I couldn't believe that the compressor was that much money and I told him I was going to get another estimate.  He asked me to let him come out and bring another guy.  When they came out, that guy said it wasn't the compressor but the heat exchanger or something else like a valve in there.  By that time I was mad at him and I wasn't going to trust him.  He told me I was going to need a new compressor and a new furnace and if I would have said okay to go ahead and do it, I would have been all out that month.  I was smart enough to get a second opinion.  When I called the other company, the guy came out and said the compressor was good and the valve was good.  I had a leak in my coils in there.  I know Ron Milburn is going out and telling his guys that he has got working with him that if they sell a new furnace, they will get a cut on it.  He is doing that to all the old people.  I am so particular about stuff that if you come to my house, you could eat out of the corners of my house.  A lot of people call me and ask me my opinion on a lot of things on who to get.  He didn't charge me to come out and if he would have, I wouldn't have paid him the money.  He diagnosed the problem wrong.  He said it was the compressor and it wasn't the compressor.  He never charged me for the call.  He lost because I would never use him again.

"We have worked for this customer since February 1985 and have never tried to take advantage of him or any other customer. Young, old or in between! The original call was a no heat. When our service tech arrived at the home the compressor was off on internal overload (over heated) this would give a reading of a bad compressor. Later that evening the client phoned and I told him I would like to do a second check after unit has cooled down. Upon checking unit the second time it was diagnosis that the outdoor expansion valve needed replaced and not the compressor. At no time was the customer told his heatexchanger was bad since he has an electric furnace that does not have a heatexchanger. We still stand on the fact that the expansion valve was bad and not what he is saying the other contractor had done for the repair. The same contractor he says did such a great job for him has misdiagnosised a 12 1/2 ton unit with a bad heatexchanger that was perfectly fine. The fact he has a very clean home has nothing to do with the repair of his heating and cooling equipment. I also have a very clean home and take great pride in our business. The fact that he decided to go with another contractor was fine we did not charge him for either time we went to his home to diagnosis the needed repair. We have been in business 33 years and again are very proud of our business."

He found the problem right away and had the part on hand. He replaced the compulator with no problem and assured me the furnace would run ok. He inspected the furnace and let me know there were no other issues.
