McQuillin Tree Care Specialists

We submitted an appointment request along with a detailed scope of service requested via their website and they were prompt in replying. During the initial appointment the serviceman seemed pretty knowledgeable and experienced. When he quoted the job, he expressed reservations about doing the job since they were coming "from far away" (Delta OH to Sylvania OH..25 miles/30 minutes), presumably towing their tree equipment. I told him to factor the gas/travel into his quote and we agreed on the price. We decided to go with McQuillan after getting two other quotes.
When I called the technician the night before to reconfirm the tree appointment, he changed his position a bit and asked to keep all of the wood from the job since, he said, he was "coming from so far away", and we were "getting a really good deal". I agreed since the price seemed reasonable for the work.
On the day of service, at 9:00 am. the guy who quoted the job showed up alone in a truck under equipped - without a ladder, and without a chipper (he said it had broken). He removed the stump as promised (kept all the wood) and removed a few high branches. After a few hours, he got 2/3 of the way through the job and said he was done.I emphasize that this was not additional work, it was what he had originally agreed he was going to do. He said "that's it, my truck is full." We asked if he could just finish cutting down the rest of the high dead branches and leave them (because his truck was full) and he just said "nope, that's it, you're getting a deal". No offer was made to return to finish the remaining work. We are left looking for a good tree service to finish the work that McQuillan Tree Service wouldn't.
