MD Electric

We had to use MD Electric for our Rockford Home that we built. Our house comes with a standard package and you are charged for upgrades. They were paid to complete electrical work and install our light fixtures. We went over our plan with Marty and Brent and they looked at our light fixtures and said “this one looks hard to hang so we will be charging you an extra $200.” This happened with at least 9 fixtures and we had no choice but to pay it. Ultimately we paid this company over $7,000 and our fixtures are are hanging crooked and the outlet plates and switch plates are not straight. We have 6 canned lights in our two-story great room and 2 burned out before we even closed on the house. No one at this company cares about quality of work or customer satisfaction. This company has made our building process extremely frustrating and I hope that Rockford uses another business in future. I would never voluntarily choose to use MD Electric.

Very well - they ran a little late from the original appointment time - they did call to let me know so all in all I am very pleased - Marty is easy to work with and upfront about potential issues

Marty called to tell me he was on his way. He looked at the problem, went out to get the needed part and called to say he was on the way back. Once Marty arrived with the part, he got right to work taking out the old/nonworking part and replacing it with the new one. He showed me how it worked and cleaned up. Without being asked, he and his assistant took their boots off when they entered our house, which was very nice since their boots were wet with snow. Marty explained the pricing clearly before he bought the part or performed the work. He was professional, responsive and knowledgeable. I will definitely call him again for any electrical needs.

I called him on a Monday morning, we set up the job for Tuesday. He was on time, very professional, and very honest. He did a superior job, cleaned up after himself and wasted no time. I asked him for a bid on another electrical job I was thinking about doing, he was very honest and explained in detail what would have to be done and it turned out it was more work than I wanted to do at this time. I really appreciated his honesty. I would hire him again and would recommend him to all my friends and family.
