I hired En-Vision for the first time last year because I am a renter who knows nothing about landscaping, so I hired professionals. Seth Newell came by the house and provided a written estimate. They did my Spring cleanup work in 2022, and I (not knowing any better) thought it looked generally fine (albeit still overgrown), but trusted that they were pros. This year, I hired them again. The day they came over, I unfortunately had to leave while they worked to get a flat tire fixed. I would not normally leave, but this was an emergency. While I was out, they finished, and the owner, Seth, basically harassed me for three hours while I was out trying to fix my tire. I understand he wanted payment, but he was aware of my situation at the moment. Eventually, I dropped what I was doing and paid him as soon as I was able because I was tired of him harassing me every hour. When I got home, I saw immediately that a VERY obvious and large (almost 3 feet wide) weed had been left in one of the beds. Even I, the plant moron, knew it was a weed. Seth said they just thought it was a big plant and left it there. What landscaper does not know an obvious weed from other plants?! He said he would send someone sometime this week to remove it. I had to remind him again late in the week because nobody had come by as he had promised in a big hurry to collect money but not to fix his crew mistakes. Flash forward two weeks, and my landlord comes by, wondering why the landscaping looks so bad. She pointed out TONS of issues that I admittedly had not realized were problems (I do not know any better, and she did not come by last year). They had trimmed and mulched around everything in the beds except for a bunch of random things: an overgrown sage plant, a rosebush that was so overgrown (up into the house soffits) that it scraped my car every time I pulled in, the entire back side of the beds on only one side of the property, despite trimming and mulching the front side. There were MULTIPLE 5-foot+ WEEDS left untouched, and the ground surrounding them was COVERED in weeds. When asked, Seth told me that it was the same work that they did last year (whatever that means incomplete work is bad no matter how many times you do it). He told me that cutting all that down and getting back there was not part of the estimate. That made NO sense to me. I re-read the estimate, which stated cleaning out and edging flower beds (hauling away waste material) and trimming bushes around the property no indication they would only do PART of the beds or trimming. When asked to explain how that was not part of the estimate, he could not provide an answer. Additionally, he implied it was MY fault that I was not there to check the work, as if that were an excuse for poor work (TWICE, no less). He told me that to finish the work, he would have to come back and provide a new estimate! He sent me three dates to choose from for him to come do the new estimate, all A MONTH OUT. I chose one and asked him to confirm; he did not respond. In short, HE GHOSTED ME. After doing bad work twice and then making me wait a month to get an estimate to finish the job he did not finish, he ghosted me. I basically paid him $1,100 to do half the work he was contracted to do and then had to spend more money to fix his job. I can provide photos, videos, and screenshots of what the owner considered satisfactory work. Unbelievably unprofessional. I got the same review from another person who used them. Do NOT HIRE.
