Nate was very responsive to my request for an estimate. He consistently gave me 24 hours' notice before coming out. I felt that he did a thorough job of explaining all that he was doing, as well as giving me options. I am hiring him again, and my neighbors may do the same. It's wonderful to have an alternative to all the chemicals, and a company that is professional and responsive.

Its nice to have an alternative that is not detrimental to the environment.

They are organic, and they do not use chemicals.

Elfner Organic is very responsive to my questions, and respond promptly. They provide detailed information for doing some of the services yourself, if you don't want to pay for them. They provide adequate notice of upcoming treatments. Overall, we are very pleased with the services they offer!

Elfner had the best pricing of all of the organic yard treatment services I contacted. The company is very responsive to questions--outstanding customer service. I requested a 24 hour notice before they came out and they definitely did that. It's been a few weeks since the slice-seeding (which they did for $175 for the front and the back yards) and the yard is gorgeous! They slice-seed with only tall fescue, not a mix. The grass is lush and green and I can definitely tell the difference in the grass variety. I will most definitely have them do this again in the fall for the next couple of years to give my yard a much needed rejuvenation. Fescue also stands up to weeds better than some of the blends used by other service providers. They also did a fall fertilization treatment ($50). They will be back out in late October or early November for a final treatment for 2013. I was so impressed by the pricing and the service, I've signed up for the whole program in 2014. I've had my yard slice-seeded and over-seeded by other companies in the past with dismal results and lots of weeds. Not so with the slice seeding done by Elfner--the grass is beautiful. For the first time this year, I cut the grass in the front yard and you actually see the rows the lawnmower had made. I'm extremely satisfied with Elfner and would highly recommend them to anyone.

We were not unhappy with the service. The organic just did not work for our yard. They also had high pricing.

They were just too expensive and it was more than what we thought we were going to pay. He got the square footage online and based on that gave us a bid for our yard. They were very professional. When I explained it was too much they were very professional and understood. They told us that if they could be of help in the future to let them know. I had a very professional and high level communication with them. They were responsive; they got back to us on time.

They arrived the day that they said they would come and spent that day excavating and getting the site ready. Considering it was so hot, they worked very hard. The next day they came out and laid the bricks and then came back one more day to finish with the poly-sand to seal the bricks and put the edging around the walkway. On that day, a thunderstorm went through and they waited for it to stop and then finished the work. They didn't rush the job and we like how the area turned out.

He is very good, and I will recommend their services to others. They always return my messages and finish their work.

Took a little while for a response but they did call back and did do an estimate. We went with another company but the estimate was done very professionally and the price was very fair. We would consider using them in the future if our current company does not work out.

Their prices were reasonable. They were very polite and did what they said they would do. I have since changed to another company that is better about getting back with me sooner and seems to have more experience.

The prices were almost similar to other companies. They were professional and very punctual. They were not very responsive, but other than that they were great.

During the recent wind storm in September, we lost several large trees in our back yard, along with numerous fallen tree limbs and general debris. I starting making calls on Sunday (as the storm was in full swing) hoping to get someone out fairly soon. On the next day, a Monday, I got no response from any of the companies called and when I did get through to some, I was told two weeks because we were new customers. Not wanting to wait that long, because these were seriously big trees and one of them had landed up against my neighbor's house, I was concerned. I spotted a landscaper across the street cleaning away trees for a neighbor and thought I might ask him; I had seen him there many times and saw he did good work. He came over, took a look at our yard, saw the situation and agreed to come as soon as possible. We agreed on a price and he started later that day and finished the next. We were very pleased with the whole thing, start to finish!

He fit the design to what we told him we were looking for. Part of that had to do with being imaginative in figuring out how the design would match with the yard. He improved upon the existing landscaping plan, and we've recommended him to about all of our friends. They worked well together, and it was a joy to watch the fine cutting of the stones and the pavers. Everything that they planted comes from a good source, and we haven't had anything die on us.
