Greatly appreciated that he came out shortly after we spoke. Very difficult to get competent service done the same day, let alone the same week! DeWitt got the dryer up and running.

Mr DeWitt came out on 9/1 and did a thorough check on the oven. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. The clock assembly had to be replaced. He came back on 9/2 and replaced the assembly and the oven works. Recommend them highly and will definitely call them again.

Mr DeWitt was very knowledgeable about the problem and how to fix it. He was very friendly and offered good advice about maintaining the refrigerator.

I called on Thursday and they were right on time Friday morning. Correctly diagnosed leaky dishwasher. Fixed the problem and a issue with the door. Cleaned the workspace. Prompt, courteous, friendly. Overall great experience.

Was very pleased by the work performed. Initially had a repair service from Columbus, OH out but the company was unprofessional and incompetent and created an additional problem. As such, I called DeWitt to explain the issue (worn out freezer hinge- the original problem and inoperative water dispenser). In two days, Casey DeWitt came out with the replacement hinge and repaired that problem. He also troubleshot and solved the water dispenser issue caused by the previous "repair" company (hoses were switched).

I called early in the day and he scheduled us the same day in the evening. He arrived on time. Was professional and friendly. We had a bad pump. He was able to replace immediately as he came with parts. He was quick and efficient. Cleaned up area and was on his way. Pricing was reasonable and we would definitely call them again !

Service tech who came out was prompt and extremely knowledgeable. He was completely familiar with our Maytag unit and explained options. He shared normally might be worth considering purchasing a new unit given ours was 10 years old, but he stated we had the best dryer unit Maytag makes and a repair could potentially get us another 5-7 years. We decided to go with the repair and he fixed the unit and did a complete clean of the lint that had accumulated. The price was quoted ahead of time and it was in line of what I expected to pay and service work was completed in a minimal amount of time. We were completely pleased with the service call and we'll definitely use DeWitt & Son's again.

I called and was able to get an appointment in a day. Mr. Dewitt arrived on time. He was friendly and was started right to work. He immediately found the problem, A piece of glass that had passed through the filters and was lodged. He was able to retrieve it and clean everything up. He was in and out within 45 minutes. Awesome service! I will be keeping this number for future use. I would highly recommend this company!!

Joe said he could fix it same day I called him. He gave me a time. He showed up a little early showed me what was wrong and fixed it quickly for a good price. Good Job Joe!!!!

I was impressed with their ability to come out right away and make the repair.  The repair was made quickly and professionally.  He also provided some tips and hints on how to keep the washer in great condition.

They have done excellent work for us for at least 5 years.  They come quickly.  They do a thorough repair on any appliance.  They do not overcharge.  They will tell you if the repair is going to be too much.  We are very happy with them.  I highly recommend them.

After calling several appliance repair companies on Angie's list, and being given dates for repair that had long windows of service (no specific time, just morning or afternoon), I was pleasantly surprised that this person offered to come on short notice on a Friday afternoon. He arrived within the hour, diagnosed the problem, left to get a part he did not carry, and returned and fixed it! This was excellent customer service, in my opinion. I expected he would have to set up another date, rather than going out of his way to go and retrieve the part.

My upright freezer wasn't working the way it should.. The Tech checked it out and said it wasn't worth fixing.. I appreciated his honest opinion..

He was very good and explained everything to us. The service was excellent. We asked him about some other issues which he was happy to explain.

The provider came to my house 45 minutes after my initial call on 8/8/13. My dryer start button wouldn't stay on. When the provider arrived, the dryer button worked just fine. He tested and examined the parts in the control panel and found everything to be in working order. He charged me a service charge, but since he couldn't find a problem, he guaranteed the service call for 14 days. Two days later (on a Saturday), the dryer button wouldn't stay on. I called the provider back and he was back out at my house within the hour. Believe it or not, the dryer worked when he got here. He was very cautious to only provide the correct repair, but since the dryer seemed to work each time he was here, he suggested we replace the relay switch first. He told me to keep the original relay switch in case the switch wasn't the problem. If the dryer stops working again, he will replace the control panel (a much more expensive part) and put my original switch back in.
I felt that Joe provided honest and fair service. He was pleasant, more than prompt, thorough, and efficient. Many technicians would have just replaced both parts, not worrying about the cost to the consumer. Joe was careful not to sell me a part that I potentially didn't need. I liked that he was willing to come back out if the relay switch wasn't the problem. I would HIGHLY recommend Dewitt and Sons and Daughters for repairs.

My initial phone call was promptly returned and a repair man came out the next day. He was polite and professional. The problem with my washing machine was quickly identified and repaired. Everything works well.

He worked very diligently and only charged a flat price. They were timely and pleasant.

Our gas stove (about 7 years old) was not lighting. Made a phone call to Dewitt and they were there the next day. Nice guys came out (semi-retired owner and employee). Found the cause, replaced it and went on their way within 45 minutes.
As for the person that gave them a D review for charging $150 even though the part was $2...who cares, they provided a service. They drove to your house, they drove home, that is all time they could not be with another customer. The customer that gave the D rating shoud fix things herself. Never look up the cost of parts for anything unless you want to fix it yourself.

We came home from work to find that our refrigerator/freezer wasn't chilling properly, and the food in the freezer was defrosting. We had used this company before for other appliance repairs, so we called them. We didn't really expect them to be able to come over the same day, but my call was immediately transferred to a repairman, and he said he would try to make it in about an hour. After 45 minutes, he called back to say that they were running a little late, and would it be okay if they came 15 minutes later than their original estimate. We appreciated the notification, and they arrived exactly when they said. They came in, diagnosed the problem (a dead relay) in a few minutes, explained it and told us what it would cost. Then they fixed it, and did some other routine maintenance and showed us how to do it ourselves in the future. They explained how long it would take to cool down, how to readjust the settings if needed, discussed whether the food was okay to keep (yes), and cleaned up after themselves. They were here about 30 minutes, and were polite and friendly. The food was saved, I had no mess, and I didn't need to buy a new frig.We have had this company repair our oven (twice), microwave (twice) and dishwasher, over a 15 year period. Each time, we had similar excellent service, and the lifetime of the appliance was extended for many more years.

Although, just last month I gave this company a great review for fixing my refrigerator; I cannot give them anymore illustrious reviews due to the price gouging this company apparently practices. I called to have someone look at my electric dryer as it was not working. After going through all of the troubleshooting, I made an appointment for someone to take a look at it. I was convinced it was the push power button wearing out so I looked up online what the approximate cost would be for this part: around $11. Turns out it was just a door latch. I later found that these can cost as low as $1.06 for a Whirlpool dryer online! With a wedding approaching at the end of the week; I needed the dryer repaired at once. I left a message with this company on Friday, May 25 and the message was returned the next day and an appointment was set up for Tuesday, May 29, due to Memorial Day on Monday. There were two repairmen that came--for what reason I do not understand being such a simple problem. They were here for about 5 minutes when it was realized that it was the door latch and not the power button. It took no more than 10 minutes to get it replaced and the charge was over $150! I was not pleased with this amount so one of the men agreed to lower it to $135. I should feel like I was getting a break? I felt really taken once I realized how little this part cost and the labor to install was minimal. I think these people charge whatever they think they can get out of someone and play on people's desperation to have an appliance repaired. They claim not to charge a "service call" charge, but it's really just included in their price quotes for parts. I will never use this company again. I've been taken twice now by them and that's it!
