Very pleased all around. Jim was extremely responsive and flexible. He was also cognizant of budget, and helped ensure that I got the best value (i.e. suggesting things that I could probably do myself vs. adding to the cost). I would not hesitate to recommend him or hire again.

Arrived on time. Used bucket truck to access large tree. Cut and lowered all tree pieces carefully so as to not damage garage roof and adjacent trees. Cleaned up yard very well. Very personable and professional crew.

Jim was recommended by a company that was providing landscape services for us as part of a larger project. Jim came by and gave us an estimate - and basically told us to call him when we were ready. 3 months later... as our landscape crew gutted our backyard, they called Jim to let him know they needed the walnut tree out ASAP. Jim fit us in the next day - worked with the landscape crew to have things set-up for him - and he got his work done quickly and cleanly! The next day, the stump was ground and gone so our landscaping crew could continue their work. We live on a old, tree-lined street, and we will surely need additional tree servicing in the future. We will definitely call Clinton Tree Service again.

I ran into Jim while walking and asked for a quote. He said he would get back to me after lunch. He called from lunch with his quote, and I accepted. He and his helper arrived within the hour and spent around an hour on the job. They cut the trees to the ground and cleaned up all branches and debris. He is sending a stump remover later in the week. I could not be more pleased--very professional and courteous. And Jim is a really nice guy!

I needed a large tree in our backyard to be cut down quickly and was frantically looking for someone who could perform the service. Clinton Tree Service was recommended to me, so I called Jim and set up an appt for the next morning (on a Friday). I had received quotes before and I knew that his quote was quite reasonable. He was also willing to cut down the tree over the weekend, which I was thrilled about. Jim and his team arrived on Saturday morning and spent several hours cutting down our diseased tree. We have a very small backyard, and they were able to maneuver their bucket truck around everything so nothing was left damaged. They were even able to make my next door neighbor happy, who's pretty picky about his back yard. Their level of service from beginning to end definitely set them apart from the rest. I would definitely hire them again.

I called early one Saturday morning. Received a phone call early the next week to come and give an estimate. He gave me the lowest bid of four estimates. He was the most personable of all and that is the reason that I chose him. The tree was removed, the stump was grounded up. He called for payment and I did not hesitate to pay because I was very pleased with the service.

Overall, they were very attentive and did what they said they would do in the time frame promised.

I was not at the location of the tree, but my daughter and her friend were there to observe much of the work. I got a quick estimate for the work and the company worked with my daughter on a date and time. They arrived on time and did what my daughter said was a very good job especially in cleaning the site afterward.

I telephoned the company in June or July of 2011, to request a bid to remove a large silver maple from my front yard. There was a recorded announcement asking for a detailed message, which I left. I never received a response.

We were referred to Jim Sweeney by a tree farm owner. We called on a Monday morning and he came out (about 40 miles from their base) that afternoon, in a pouring rain, to do an assessment. By Tuesday evening we had a written report noting condition and worked required for each tree. After several conversations (via his personal cell phone), we agreed to hire Clinton Tree Service. Despite a very cold turn in the weather, Jim and his crew showed up as promised the next Monday and worked all week very diligently. My wife was home all week to observe and is a tough taskmaster - and she was pleased with their professionalism and effort. While they were not the cheapest of those we had quote the work we very impressed and would readily hire again when needed.

I have been using them for over ten years and they have always been very reliable to me. I trust their judgment because I think they know what they are doing, they clean everything very nicely and I leave things on them what needs to be done.

They were fair, and they did incredibly high-quality work, and they did it fast. They were really nice people to work with. I will use them again in the future, and I will be shortly calling them.

This company also does winter snow removal. They charge you per instance and they have your driveway plowed by first thing in the morning. Great!

Punctual and efficient service. I have worked with Jim for years, for big and small jobs. He's great at what he does, responds in a timely manner, is professional and courteous.

He gave us a fair estimate and a few days later came as scheduled with 3 helpers. He did all the climbing and cutting in about 6 hours while not allowing any branches to fall on our power or phone lines. I can't imagine any other tree service company doing as well. The remaining stump will be ground in a couple of days.

Jim and 2 other men worked all day to remove dead branches and trim trees. I was very happy with the work that was done. They took us for a walk around the yard after they were done to make sure that everything was done to our satisfaction. We noticed that the branches that were removed from the spruce left large, bright spots. Jim had some stuff in his truck that covers those up, and it looks great now! They will also remove roots if needed.

I've had Jim remove trees in the past, he does a good clean job, is careful not to disturb nearby landscaping, and neatly stacks all the wood which he leaves. His crew even hauled much of the wood and stacked on my back patio next to my woodpile! Thanks Jim!

Mr. Sweeney gave us an estimate in a timely manner and completed the work in less than two weeks after the estimate was made. Mr. Sweeney has invested in equipment that streamlines his operation, making it efficient, safe, and thorough. He used a bucket truck to get into these very large trees, never having to physically climb them. He was professional and patiently answered any questions I presented. He and his assistant were careful about the property (and my neighbor's property) and the clean up was excellent. He even hauled away about 4 large branches on the ground that we had cut down ourselves within the last several years.
